Maybe baserace maps should be set to 15/20 minutes. Now on Beg2 its 30 minutes off running and jumping on adren. Some people love the baserace maps and some leave offcourse when it comes up,but maybe lowering the gametime will help.Its still a map where the team with the most buildings/walls etc wins,so in 15 minutes it can be axis or allies ,both teams even opportunities.

I've been telling people years mate although its only really 125 that gives the advantage with jumping but given mos tof FA servers have double jump enabled its never really been an issue, 125 allows you to jump higher and as a result also allows you to jump slightly further too. An example of the 125 advantage is other than being able to jump on boxes (with single jump) is that you can jump the canal by allies second spawn on Venice. 71 FPS giving lower recoil is also true and was actually banned on some pub servers as it was seen as an unfair advantage, although IMHO it isn't really that much less recoil. Some servers are capped @ 250 FPS as anything above that in the quake engine is pointless.

I used to play years ago and then picked it up again last fall and with the Covid I find myself on beginners one, two and Jf one almost daily. You guys and gals are great and don’t even bother looking at other servers.

Check out this video on YouTube. I started following him when I was looking into building a PC and he gives good advice. In this video he does about a $500 pc so you have some wiggle room to get some better pieces, but this should be a good starting point for you. Recommendations Get an AMD Ryzen CPU that comes with the air cooler. You may not have the best temps, but this will eliminate the need for buying an aftermarket cooler. For RAM I would suggest at least16 GB of DDR4 3200 kit similar to what he has in the video. The 3200 MHz seems to be a sweet spot for the AMD Ryzen CPU's. If you wanted to save even more money you could get only 8gb of RAM, but 16 GB gives you some head room. To help save money try to pick out a PC case that comes with fans already. That will help keep your costs down I would at least try and get a SSD for the Windows OS. This will increase boot times significantly compared to a standard HDD. With Windows and your favorite game installed on the SSD you could buy a larger size HDD to store everything else. If you have any specific questions let me know and I can try to help more. You can also go to https://pcpartpicker.com/ to put together some of the parts and keep track of what it will cost. This will allow you to trade out different parts to see what you can squeeze out of that $600 budget.

I understand your opinion Coc4, but I'm not a big fan of reducing the maximum time of a map. The maps were designed to give sufficient time for the attacking team to do its job, but if you reduce the time, as soon as defenders are a bit stronger, the attack team will loose let's say, 5min. Then, since the general time of the map is reduced, they will already know that they can't win, and they will be discouraged. So, as soon as the attack team will loose a bit of time, they will know that the final objective can't be reached and they will just play frag or leave. In my opinion, it would be better if we could introduce different times for each smaller objective of the map. Just like in the map Capuzzo Airport. For example, in Gold Rush, the general time of the map is the same, but if Allies can't repair the tank after 12min, then Axis win. If they reach it after 5min, then the time for the second objective is unlocked, and the extra time they had for the first objective is added to the new time (and so on until the map end). I think it's a good compromise. If the attack team keeps advancing, you will play the full time of the map, but if the defense is stronger, then the map will stop before the end

Soo i played all day and it seems to have solved by itself.. my ping is back to normal on jay1 . Not sur what happend, i tried a lot of cvars , erased client , installed new client, erased and re installed cfg , erased ip stack .... nothing seems to work at that moment 🤷‍♂️ . But it s all good today .. Interweb mystery Thanks

Hello people! i want to make this suggestion about the times of the "longs maps", maps like gold rush, Oasis (original or FA) are not played because most of the people doesn't want to play a "30 mins map" so what do you think about reduce this time to 20 mins, i think these maps could be do it on this time and maybe could be more played if this were changed, of course this in HC server
