We are actively looking for new mappers and modders to either make new maps or fix old maps or modify them to balance out game play. Issue is mapper would make a map so that it looks nice and such but sometimes while doing that balance game play get's on sideline and by the time admins give feedback, mapper might have moved on. Right now @Smileyyy and @Shana are working on fixing few maps. So if anyone is experienced in mapscripting or mapping, they can give some extra help. Also I strongly suggest to players to use respective map support topic and post their suggestions for that map if they would like to see improvement with screenshots so it's much easier to understand what they are suggesting. If map source is available it can be fixed or modified and if not we can contact original mapper if they have still have map source and we can get the fix going. This thing would require dedication a bit so only taken on project if you have will to learn and resolve issues. Nothing is straight forward in life and this will not be either. Cheers4 points

Rough translation: And with that, I gotta say few things. I respect your opinion, but 80% of the time (if I don't tap out first) when I'm laying on the ground someone revives me. Give them medpacks? They'll give ammo. Give ammo? They'll heal. I look out for my teammates. And they look out for me. And 6 years ago before I was even wearing tags... people would heal me, give me ammo, etc. In any case though, Jay3 has never had the best teamplay... and it probably never will. It's a straight up pub server with fun settings.4 points

Let me know what you guys want. Little Info - With Nitmod TDM gameplay - It would be frag only server. Each team fights for frag. So if you are looking for frag only server with rating in mind, nitmod TDM is good option. It was added while we hosted Nitmod back in the days and I believe very less admins use it.3 points

For waypoints @Buckwild can create some good ones. U stick to one modding - Insurgency and DOI ... too much in each one will make u go crazy.2 points

It's just they are different animal from regular players, obj lovers, etc. But as saying goes all are required to complete the echo system. Optimal ping below 25ms... no disrespect, but I have to laugh. Unless you're practically sitting atop the data center, at a LAN party, or there's nothing but pure fiber from you to the DC with some copper in the routing, nobody's going to have true 25ms latency to a server outside of their ISP or a routing node. Jitter can't be helped. Every device has jitter, from your NIC, to your ISP's servers, routing servers, down to the data center itself. 0ms jitter is impossible Upload has nothing to do with download. C'mon now... And download hardly has anything to do with playing online games. In modern connections, upload is key. Unless someone is playing on Dialup, their download is sufficient. And nowhere do I see bandwidth mentioned. (Bandwidth does not equal speed) NAT or Network Address Translation is not "created". It's a protocol based on your firewall on whether traffic is passed through 100% (trusted), filtered (untrusted), or blocked entirely (distrusted). This allows internal IP addresses and VLANS to be "re-addressed" for public use while remaining private. Honestly, I can't tell whether this is supposed to be an informative topic, or you're asking questions. But based on you asking "can anyone explain what I should put here", I can only assume the latter. Wherever you're getting this info... stop reading it. Please. It's just plain asinine. Please, stop the stupid ping war you're going after (trying to achieve the lowest latency of all), and just enjoy the game. We have antilag. Your game does not suffer from someone else's higher ping.2 points

Never expose ports and such if not required. It's security risk. Router opens the port on demand. Do you have issue connecting to server? No then you don't need port forwarding.2 points

Personally I would like to see a N!tmod; in the old days I played on N!t only, and I enjoyed it very much. Getting used to Jay, for example, when I came here, took some time And I like fragging more than doing the obj (fragmaze, purefrag, flag in the middle, etc are my favorite maps ) and I wouldnt get bored with it for sure, @CheepHeep. So my vote goes for the N!t TDM2 points

A few concerns I have with that though are: 1. Population of raters aren't that much and they generally take long breaks as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, im just basing it off of my own experience. 2. If the players are mainly raters, they are usually going to be way above average in skill, so the average player would get dominated on that server and because there's no objective to complete on the side they'd leave. 3. Raters get their high rating by owning nobs hehe. If they fight each other their rate won't be as high so they may prefer to play on servers like Jaymod where Increasing rate is easier. If they want a challenge though they will play on TDM server but without getting rated. This is just my opinion. I mean I'd actually like to give it a go because its fresh and new but Im worried it won't last long. Once people get a taste of it, they'd get bored pretty quick. I could be wrong. Perhaps we could try it and see how it fairs.2 points

It´s common to put a URL to the article one references in the post;) If you have problems in ET, let´s start with this: If you can´t connect to more modern games where you don´t have dedicated servers and you have p2p matches and you can´t connect to them, then you´d want to start fiddling with your NAT. I´m no expert but the NAT is there for the reason. With todays botfarms crackers have tremendous "calculation" power in their hands to probe every modem out there for easy weaknesses, which it seems to me you are creating out there. Some1 with more knowledge in that matter can share more light on this subject.2 points

Tons of server with obj play. TDM would bring all fraggers in one spot. No adren, single jump, no panzer, etc. It would be fun to have complete different game play style in whole ET. Might be tough but once words get out, tons of TB raters would join and since server is specifically for rating, no issues at all. Then they can't complain, panzer, artillery, etc etc. We already have obj server i.e. hardcore and nothing beats game play of it. Everyone fighting for one thing Obj. Then we got silent #1 with FF off and Beg #2 with double jump. 3 servers covers different obj game play. None exist for frag only. Just giving another perspective to think for. Could put on TB 3.00 for TB tracking as well so rating would be on. PS I personally like Jaymod 32 slot - Single Jump, No adren.2 points

I'd choose Nitmod with map voting. Nitmod was suggested quite a while ago and it looks pretty fun, so I'd definitely give it a go and help build it up. Map voting is better than Team Death Match because people can still play for kills and frags if they want to but the option to complete an objective is still there as well. TDM would get pretty boring especially when there's only bots. From experience when I play on a server with the majority being bots, I tend to play the objective because fragging bots alone gets boring pretty quickly. So TDM is only good on a full server but to get a full server ain't easy so safest bet is map voting. fa_bremen_b2 + waypoints View File bremen_b3 remake by =F|A=Smiley. Read the readme.txt file for more changes and special thanks. Bot Waypoints Changes: Added corridor connecting house North East of keyroom to corridor East of truckroom. Custom waypoints added. Added extra exit out of 1st Axis Spawn to reduce blocking. Made building South of 1st Axis Spawn accessible. Made balcony East of 1st Axis Spawn easily accessible with small corridor. Made house accessible to help both allied in first stage and axis in last stage. With that, I made exit out of house easier. Added area to help axis during last stage. Added room with ladder to first floor in house opposite to CP room. Extended house opposite to CP room to come out next to keyroom. Added room West to CP room. Made stairs wider and created hole. Added second door frame to CP again for less blocking. Also made North Western door frame wider. Made courtyard easier to go about. Re-did lower level of house North East of keyroom. Lightened up corridor East to Truck and removed weird shape of it. Removed gate South to Truck and added back alley that comes out in Axis 2nd Spawn. Made truck room more balanced. Added stairs all around keyroom to create a "more open feel". Removed clip from rooftop of middle house. Removed hole from floor of middle house. Added low wall to second floor middle house. Raised wall looking over garage a bit in middle house. Made balconies accessible. Added Wooden Cover to arch. Removed useless background effects for improved performance. Replaced some spawns for both allied and axis. Added clipping to stairs and unregular surfaces. Added window to crossover above Main Gate. Lowered table and moved rubbel for statisfying jump. Moved wall a bit next to stair CP room. Re-textured roofs, doors and some walls. Lowered wall in hole to generator to not get stuck. Removed useless clutter in keyroom. Moved 1st Truck Barrier a bit. Removed door in Western Wall of truck room. Smoothened truck route. Added small details. Caulked invisible faces of brushes for better performance. Made door under bridge team door for axis. Removed useless entities for better performance. Re-textured CP room. Changed loading picture. Small bug fixes. Changed clipping. Added extra clipping to irregular surfaces. This is indeed related to the tilde [~] character. In the ET environment it places last in the alphabet, which means that pk3 starting with it get loaded last. This has sparked an outright war between servers, about who can add more of these characters in their filenames. This by itself is already madness, but the main purpose of these pk3 is in most cases to alter the game for clients. Having the pk3 from server A load last means that the client/player loads whatever A put in their menu file. This can range from an additional menu button to connect to server A, to a complete removal of any functionality other than connecting to server A. The latter case being borderline mal-ware, since a player who is not familiar with the console has no chance whatsoever. Since it would be too much work to check for altered menu files or othe content, we simply prevented pk3 with the tilde in the filename from being loaded. The only purpose of this is to protect the client from potentially malicious content. I hope you understand.1 point

Sure thing shulga! All of there podcasts are on Spotify and on sound cloud for free. They mainly cover conspiracy series and horror stories. There 3 comedians one from the wolf of wall street movie. They work great together. Heres the first one I heard from them. They just make fun of people that think the moon is fake/a hologram/or hollow. kind of hilarious the way they do it. Hi All, Sad news. Just got the email from gs.com. Seems like we are being forcefully moved to new IP. I have contacted their CEO. I don't foresee any change in their stance. Those jack asses, never run any community and are tossing people out for no valid reason. Even level 1 data-center tech can move the IP to new machine. I don't see what's the issue is with this. They are just being lazy employees. Just giving heads up. If we have to change the IP, I would move the server location from Chicago to NY/NJ. That would lower the ping of Euro members big time as well lower the ping for Asian members. West coast members would see increase in their ping by 20-40. That would put everyone around 100 ping appx. East coast members ping will reduce to 20 from 50. Sorry for the trouble, my hands are tied but i have request their CEO to look into this.
