I think your English is perfectly fine. :)
I know I need to work on my French though, haven't brushed up on that in nearly 10 years.

Your English is already pretty good. It seems you have most of the basics down. If you have any questions about the language, we can always help you out too. Post in this thread with your question and someone will answer promptly. Probably Xerni or flible :DDDDD : https://fearless-assassins.com/topic/64836-english-post-your-questions-here/page-1

Hey, welcome to the forums!

I understand you completely so your English is good!

Imo, it really takes very little effort to be understood by english native speaker. It's hard to rate her english language level based on these few sentences.

Although, I'm sure it's enough for us to fully understand you ;) but if you're going to improve it, I have some tips for you. Think of what you need your english for. If you need it for work or some exams, think of buying some good study books or take some additional english classes. If you want to learn english in order to be able to understand and communicate with people easier, forget about books and keep in touch with spoken language. Keep doing what you like but do it in english - listen to music in english, watch movies (without french subtitles - only english), read books, articles, forums (you can start from FA for example), play games, speak with people on the Internet (it's much easier since you can correct your mistakes quickly with google translator hehe) and much more.

And finally, some tips regarding your post:

I have a good new !

'News' is an uncountable noun, such as 'advice' or 'information'. You can't say 'a new' or even 'a news'. If you want to be able to count 'news' you’ll have to turn it into 'news items', then singular is 'news item' and plural is 'news items'.

I'll be able to speak better with you guys and girls

This phrase is perfectly correct, but it's unnecessary to say 'guys and girls'. The plural 'guys' is gender-natural, which means it can be used for greeting a group of boys and girls. Although, you wouldn't want to call a single woman 'a guy' as it means 'a man'.

Good luck.

Not sure if compliment to person or stab in the gut of the French

@OP please note that there is a "post your English questions here" subforum somewhere. If you are unsure about anything at all, you'll find help there.
