We had it on NQ1 for a couple of weeks, and it was the first one to fly out. It emptied the server every time. I would wonder if it lasts longer on jay2

Don't think this requires too much thinking, just staggered some of the new maps with the old ones.

The idea is to get people to stay and learn the new maps because the next map will always be a well known map. 

Feel free to change the order obviously.

 

Also, as @DeKing said I'm in favour of adding pure frag.. or even frag maze, as long as heavy weapons are off, otherwise it's just a messy spam fiesta.

I only played Decrypted one time and it was rushed in 3 minutes. And thank YOU for Jail Bus. Been many years since I played that map and it was well received while I was on yesterday!

 

Regardless, I feel like making Jay 2 more of an alternative map server over the same maps that are on every server is great idea and it seems be generating some enthusiasm. Lots of players yesterday that you don't see too often anymore!

Purefrag has been on pretty recently. I always liked Fragmaze, but I don't think it plays well anymore. To make it fun on my Jaymod Server we'd make it a crazy gravity/panzer war map

I'll make this the rotation now.

 

Purefrag would be a Sunday map probably. I remember lots of people complaining about it being in general rotation, I enjoyed it when it was on though.

That Giant House map could go on the fun rotation too. As much as I enjoy obj, it would be neat to have a fun rotation with maps that have more of a sense of humor about their self.  I'm wondering if there are more silly maps out there made just for fun. Hell as much as I complain, I'm ready to go design one of my own.

You mean Cortex. It's a server killer. It's been on there a few times and people leave - mostly because Axis get's caught in  a choke point coming out of the spawn in the bathroom

• Steal,
• KOTH Warehouse,
• Slide,
• Space Panzer,
• Bathroom Panzer,
• Darji 2,
• Old Bones, 
• Room Panzer,
• Lava Panzer,
• NFL,
• Soccer,
• CTF Face,
• ET Tower,
• Glider Panzerduel
• Minas Tirith if we get enough people
• Helm's Deep if we get enough people

Probably a few regular maps to cool down in between some of those. All these maps are in the file section so if you don't know them just search for the name.

 

I'm thinking it might be a bit too short notice to do it this week, I'd want quite a lot of people to know it's going on so it doesn't just flop and it's 4v4 all night. What are people thoughts? Can you all show up this Sunday? Should we move it back to next week? 

 

We'd also need someone to set people to 13 so we can have wars and stuff. Maybe @Leatherface could do it?
