if it was your pc hardware u would see it fail in every game not just et. something is conflicting.is all.

 

go dl speccy  it will tell u  what all your hardware is doing  https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy

 

 u get no error message ..  it just times you out.  have you configure your firewall to accept et.  firewall will stop things from communicating on your pc. if it was connection it would.  give you some kinda sign on your modem . like being disconnected . or dropping u. an ur error would be connection interrupt not timeout. 

 

if it ws the server everyone would have the problem.

 

 

your target    says et.exe and thats it add + set com_hunkMegs "512" + set com_zoneMegs "128" + set com_soundMegs "64"\

 

mine looks like this .

 

"C:\Users\jesse\Desktop\my et\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\et.exe" + set com_hunkMegs "512" + set com_zoneMegs "128" + set com_soundMegs "64"

 

hunk zone and sound megs wont change if you dont.

 

I have tried all of that other than the pb settings, I shall give that a try. 

 

I have ccleaner pro that I use daily.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Once I get back up on my feet I will make a contribution for all of the help I have received thus far. Thank you guys for everything. 

I've noticed that I can stay connected overnight when server traffic is low. My time zone is -6:00

 

For the past two nights I have stayed connected all night into the am. Sometimes will stay connected into mid day, but when server starts to fill up, crashes happen every few minutes after connecting.

You need to find the older version of AMD radeon sofware...tell me, the problem started when you updated your sofware? i had the same problem...just uninstalled the new version...installed the older version and works for me (1 year ago, now i got nvidia so i can´t check this anymore)....but try with this.

You got rx580 or what gpu? Never update your drivers (can affect old games)

Still having probs.. Think I need some time away as this is getting beyond annoying. Can only stay connected at night when bots are on and no fun. During day constant crashes keep me from enjoying environment. Unbelievable I've thought I had my dream setup, and it can't even properly run ET, a 20 year old game.

Both pages sorry couldn't find that, even created account @ bleeping computer.

I am running amd 580 again due to better graphics when I can play. Both gpus had exact same problems as far as ET went, so I know its not the gpu or drivers.

Not antivirus or firewall because they are all disabled, even updates are disabled for both and win 10.

 

It HAS to be router issue or IPS issue. I've posted winmtr log I had, I know nothing about.

 

Not sure where to go from here
