Haruhi Suzumiya Posted August 3, 2012 Share Posted August 3, 2012 Nope it's a 1996 240sx with an imported 1996 sr20det out of a silvia s14 (same car in japan but 100 times better cuz the Japanese are evil and send us crap versions of everything) Currently the motor is pretty close to stock HP speaking. About a year ago I had the long block hot tanked and fully rebuilt. All new seals, gaskets, new main race barings, HRP head and main studs, and a nice beefy Cometic head gasket. On the outside of the motor the only parts I've added are a Blitz FMIC, full HKS 3" exhaust from the turbo back, Koyo radiator with Mishimoto fans, and a manual boost controoler. I'm probably pushing 260ish HP at the wheels at 14lb's of boost. I plan building it to between 350-400 HP but that's on hold until I finish the rest of the car. Posted January 3, 2013 Share Posted January 3, 2013 i know this is a stock pic, but i picked this edge up before christmas. not a muscle car, but they were almost giving them away so i said wtf why not since my lease was due. what i can't figure out, after having an explorer limited with a v8, is how they have managed to make a 4 banger produce 270hp out of this puppy. a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder eco-boost engine making 270hp??? wtf? apparently the turbo version kicks out something like 350hp. rides like a dream too.
