I think you are misinterpreting my words and pretty badly. Quoting "unhappy players" - it is as simple as it is. You've got messages from unhappy players - yet those maps which they are crying about are still winning votes by miles. As I said usually new maps (which apparently many players want to see - including those many who are messaging you by discord etc) get 1 or 2 votes MAX. Fact. 

 "Not just with me" - I said "I BELIEVE not just with me" so again - your interpretation of what I said sounds like I am proper dickhead. I never mentioned somebody is whining to me. Looks like favourite thing to put different words into my mouth. But at the same time when I see how are my words twisted I wouldn't be surprised that others can't be bothered to say anything.

"forcing to play new maps" - by this I said that by removing "overplayed" aka most POPULAR maps you force to choose LESS popular maps. You want to understand to what I wrote - you will. You don't want to understand to it - you'll have your "yes, but" moments.

" to fix the problem with panzers and flamer for you" - I mean COME ON!!!! FOR ME????????????? It was a bug which I pointed on! You're welcome! Next one which I see is when you use !put command then panza and flame become unavailable sometime for more then 1 round. I don't complain about it, I just SAY it is happening. 

"i go elsewhere" - it sounds like you want me to look like some spoiled brat .... well I just said how it works with me. I see map which I don't like (usually when less then 5 players on NQ1) then I go to Silence or disconnect. Don't try to make it look like I am "I want it to be my way or no way" guy. Thanks. Stop being touchy.

Mate i've removed 1 map that was played a lot, just 1. And if the oldie goldies are winning the votes over the newer ones anyway then what is the problem?

The new maps i've put on have clearly had more than 1-2 votes if they have been played between 28-58 times each in 11 days

I may have mis-interpreted but it comes across as a statement of fact, your not happy and you believe others are not too, hence you must have spoken to someone or is what your saying just assumptions??

I removed 1 map that was popular, just 1. I understand what you wrote i just don't see how its relevant in any way.

You know sometimes in life people can do nice things and while yes it needed fixing and i'm glad you told me i did go out of my way to sort it there and then for you, no one else just you. You never asked me to fix it there and then and i could have sorted it later on that knight etc but i like to help where i can which is exactly what i did in that instance, iknew you liked your heavy weapons so yeah i did it for you...I never once said you were complaining, you pointed the glitch out, i went there and then to get it sorted, I then kept you up to date and asked you a few times if all was ok over the space of a few days and if you noticed any other problems feel free to let me know.

I don't want you to sound like spoiled brat at all, i go elsewhere now and again when i cant be doing with a map on NQ etc and said as much.

Also i'm not being touchy, if anything your the one being touchy about the addition of new maps and the removal of 1 that was played a lot, just 1.

If you have a disliked map which make the server empty feel free to post it here and i am sure we will find a solution. 

 

Everyone is welcome to make suggestions. Some don't do, but that is not a problem. Some also just like to go into a well feathered nest and come out of their comfortable zone when they dislike sth. 

 

 

So please @Snuffs99 is just doing his best. If we would have more guys to make suggestions and not only a few i am sure we could get a 90 percent happiness. Maybe you can take part as well and put in some suggestions. And to be honest some changes are always good. I really got bored of Marrakech it felt like playing this map 20 times a day. I really loved this map in the past but sometimes things get boring if you use them to much. Same here with some maps. There a still few maps i get bored of but then i join spec or leave the server maybe sometimes i play them. It is really hard to make everyone happy. If here or in Real life you won't ever reach a 100 percent happiness. 

 

So just again feel free to take part in here. There are so much really nice maps and we keep playing always the same. Guys shouldn't be afraid of changes somehow it's a people mentality. 

 

 

Thanks again to you snuff as i said i really appreciate what you do and your effort.

As I said before - played by HOW MANY players? When server is full-ish old maps are wining and new maps are getting 1 or 2 votes max. Jesus what you want to hear? Amazing job and tap on shoulder? Don't be surprised if you don't get feedback from all players if you still twist my words. So back to first point - overplayed = most popular, so lets remove it cos I am getting lots of messages (5 regulars?) on here and there. Clearly missing point of my post. I'm out.

OK FYI Eagles is currently on NQ1 and HAS 26 REAL PLAYERS.

 

Your first point,....Marrakesh was played a lot, on average it had 20-25 players of which on average 13 left every time it came on leaving 7-12 players.

At the end of the day removal and addition of maps is always a trial and if they don't work and the player base suffers i'll reverse the decision(s) almost immediately.

 

I certainly don't want anyone to kiss my arse or tap me on the shoulder, if you or anyone else don't like a change made then by all means i welcome the feedback but up to now you've given NO suggestions or ideas and have only wanted me to justify my actions.

I've tried to answer your questions as well and as friendly as i can yet you accuse me of twisting your words....confused.com

 

I really don't understand what it is you want me to say or do tbh.....I'm getting the feeling you would like me to put Marrakesh back but i'm not sure???

 

IF you have any ideas or map suggestions then by all means post them in this thread.........for all your other issues start a new thread or speak to me via PM or discord and i'll try and appease you the best i can, not much else i can do.

NQ1 maps have been changed and player numbers per map put in place by @daredevil.

 

We have decided to have perm maps which will always be on the server, these will not be touched and left well alone.

 

These maps are:

 

Goldrush-gal

Adlernest   

Caen2

Supply

Sw_oasis_b3

Frostbite

Pirates

Venice

Et_beach

Fa_italy

Snatch3

Warbell

Sp_delivery

Marrakesh 2 (night final)

Braundorf  

Dubrovnik  

Capuzzo

Breman

Baserace

Library

Radar

Railgun

Fueldump

 

We have also added 3 more "swap out" maps which as their name suggest can and will be swapped out with other maps once in a while with those maps suggested here on the forums by yourselves.

 

The current 3 swap out maps are:

 

Kerkyra

1944_beach

2tanks

 

 

The reasons the maps have changed to the way it is now is because although people have been asking for maps that they wanted when those maps came on many people were simply leaving the server on mass, this is not acceptable. 

I also think i was a bit naive and only too happy to try and please everyone. As a result the servers player base took a big hit and i'm hoping the above map list will help fix that.

For me personally its been lesson learnt. As much as i'd love to i simply can not make everyone happy, the many map changes and much wider choice of maps on each vote were splitting the player base waaay to much and it just wasn't viable to carry on that way.

Its taken a few days but the best i could come up with was the above, i think creating a list of perm maps that IMHO 90% of players would play and then having 3 dedicated swap maps should allow everyone to still give map suggestions while being confident that the perm maps will always be on the server.

 

@Ford (Cz) Like i said previously if something wasn't working and the player base was being affected i would reverse the change(s) almost immediately and that is pretty much whats happened. 

The above perm maps were all on the server before i went on a swap out spree. I do appreciate every bit of feedback, including the negative and i'm more than happy to accept responsibility and admit my mistakes........mass maps swap outs was the wrong move.
Its never been my intention to alienate players, P*ss them off or make them feel they were not being listened to, i do listen and hope you feel you can come back and continue soldiering on :) .

 

At the end of the day the player base does the talking and it was shouting that too much change wasn't working.

 

Like many I only ever want to make NQ as good as it can be, i hope with the current map set up it will allow players to just play maps most will play whilst at the same time allow others to give map suggestions for swap outs and feel listened to.

It made it waaaay too easy for allies mate, mainly the first part you could grab key adn literally jump right over axis spawn to generator in about 3-5 seconds.

Plus tbf you can still get on the roof(s), just have to do it the old way. ;)

 

I'll show you next time we are both on and it comes on.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I would like to see a non-sk rule for goldrush to be put in place if the spawn is non capturable (ie the first allied spawn and second axis spawn)

The reasoning behind this is that it's currently common practice to have a constant barrage of arty (and the occasional flamer) at one spawn exit, while others are camping near the secondary exit with heavy weapons and sometimes also arty. (Talking about the second axis spawn here)

This makes defending the tank VERY hard especially if the server is not filled up with players. For me personally, I've become very frustrated as of late seeing this constantly across multiple days and multiple playthroughs

I'm not a huge fan of Sk rules, they just create confusion and IMHO are not really needed on servers with fast spawn times. 

By allowing SK IMHO it makes admins jobs easier, for a start there is no worry about admins or player interpreting the SK rules wrong or differently to one another.  

Having arty at a spawn exit is not SK either, If you deem it so then what sort of distance from the exit would you suggest is allowed and how would you enforce it?

I mean tech the spawn is just the area where you physically spawn, provided when you do spawn you don't die or get injured if you don't move then its not technically SK.

 

On Goldrush gals version axis have a few options to get out of their spawn, they have tank exit (1), courtyard exit (2), they can go right around the back of the bank (3) to back entrance and MG, they can go through the door by the box room and come out by the gold desk (4) or they can go through the door in their spawn and up the ladder (5).

 

For me personally i don't like SK rules but we could maybe increase the spawn protection time by a second or 2? least that way you have the option to run past the arty at the tank exit yet if you choose to shoot then you lose that protection.

This could work great and would solve a lot of issues I currently see at the axis side of the game.
As far as I can tell, the reason allies rarely win Goldrush is due to a lack of coordination in getting the gold to the truck.
