I like the way Silent servers handle adrenaline. You have it, but can only give it to other players, not to yourself. It promotes teamwork.

I also think a problem is that people are a slave to the numbers sometimes. If you're playing a map like Seawall Battery for example, and allies are getting to the gun controls with ease and are able to drop plants, it doesn't matter if you're on axis and there's 2 extra players on your team. It doesn't matter that !howfair says UNEVEN - 3.20 Axis. Sometimes you need to take off your mathematician hat and actually pay attention to what's going on in the game you're playing instead of just making your decision based off looking at a number. This is an all too common problem that even some admins are guilty of.

Used to play poker a lot. Still follow sports somewhat. But my biggest hobby has always been videogames. Got an NES at 2 years old and never looked back. Have every major system ever released except Xbox systems. I play all kind of games. Most games I play are actually nothing like ET.

I bought this a couple days ago and am enjoying it. I was worried it would just be a worse version of ET but I like that it has different modes other than just the normal PVP/team vs. team stuff. The coop stuff is pretty cool. It's certainly worth the $1.50 to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

I like the way Silent 1 handles adrenaline. Medics have it, but can only give it to other people. It encourages teamwork, and ET is a team game. Now if only more people on there actually knew they had this ability lol

I never buy fighting games at launch anymore. They're the worst victims of DLC gone wild. You need to spend over $100 to actually get all the content in the game. Just wait a year and they'll release a "definitive edition" with all the DLC for $40. I still haven't bought the newest Street Fighter game because they're morphine dripping one new character and a new feature of two every few months for the last 2 years instead of just finishing the damn game before they release it.

I put close to 100 hours into Zelda. It's a one game system right now but that one game was one of the best I ever played. -
I'm a Knicks fan. So the answer is no, I'm not interested. Basketball definitely has the least parity of any major American sport. The last few years there's been 1 or 2 extremely heavy favorites, a few possible sleeper teams, and then 25 teams that suck, have 0 chance of winning, and just don't matter at all. You might be able to guess that the Knicks are always one of those teams.

A gaming website. Probably IGN or Gamespot, don't remember where exactly. I already had Return to Castle Wolfenstein so I knew about the expansion. ET was actually supposed to be an expansion pack but they cut out the single player campaign and just released the multiplayer for free. Imagine a company doing that today. Today this game would be $9.99, $2.99 per map, $4.99 for the booster pack to get full levels right away, $1.99 for special costumes, etc. Pre-order now and get the special AK47 Gamestop exclusive weapon! -
Server just emptied because this file does not download properly on the server. I had to manually download the .pk3 and drop it in my jaymod folder in order to get it to work. Everyone had the same problem. Server was empty when I got back on.

I didn't want to say it outright because I hate the map but +1 deleting Baserace.

Just bumping this thread because not much has changed on Silent 1, and the complaints are getting louder and more frequent. - Goldrush TE is still a dreadful map for 16v16 and needs to be replaced with the original version or just any other version - People are complaining more and more about the same few maps getting played constantly. Personally I think increasing the 5 map rule to something like 7-8 would be a good remedy for this. - People are just requesting new maps in general. Of course they rarely if ever sign up to the forum and post about it when you tell them to, but the demand is there nevertheless. Maps like Ice and Teuthonia that get played basically never sit there and rot when they could be replaced with maps people want to try. I'll cross post this in the other relevant thread.

I do find it a bit odd that we get !ban before !shuffle. Like schnee said, by doing !putteam you're singling someone out and they're almost always going to complain about why them and not someone else and often just go spec or leave the server.

I'm always early to everything and can't stand people who are late. I want to put a Flava Flav clock on these people.
