Shuffle command

Okay so the reason why I brought this topic up us because there has been countless times where I am by myself or with other admins who don't have the "shuffle" command. I forget how high of an admin you have to be to get that command. Most times I experienced that when a shuffle is needed and I have no authority to do so and alot of players get mad due to uneven teams. I just feel that with the amount of responsibility, we could get the shuffle command

as u are lvl 12 . Shuffle command is kinda big deal cause alot of time admins may missuse it and abuse it. F|A trust there admins, but People sometimes shuffle in between the maps which isnt a good idea.You do have !putteam and u can ask them to even up when they are mad. Mostly u shall find any admin who has shuffle command on any of F|A server u can ask them to come and shuffle if the map just started or the map is going to end and u can ask them to shuffle when the next map starts.

You have the !putteam command, which is more than enough for server with 30 players max, you only need to move one or two players max.

Even admins that have shuffle command don't use it much, and can only use it during warm-up (never after a match has started)

If teams get very uneven, Like one team always dominating or too many bots on one team,

 

I ask the player with the most kills to move to the other team with a private message.

 

You can press Alt key during map play to see the "topshots".

for jay1 shuffle command would be handy the other servers are generally easy to fix by asking people or putteam

problem with putteam what u have with lvl12 is u kinda pick someone and its a "personal" choose

if u !shuffle noone will be picked personal what's at least in experiences mostly better because noone feels "picked, why me etc."

I do find it a bit odd that we get !ban before !shuffle.

 

Like schnee said, by doing !putteam you're singling someone out and they're almost always going to complain about why them and not someone else and often just go spec or leave the server.

I have shuffle and hardly ever use it. Its only been used  when teams are unbalanced by more then 4 players and only before the map starts.

Move yourself and ask in main chat or address people personally.

u never pick anyone on personal choice. U ask in general chat if someone moves good if someone doesnt then do  /scores see the stats of players and select the one with good stats who could help the unbalance team. And after u pick them they go back to previous team then do put team again and tell them the teams were unfair and u asked them to balance and none didnt. And if they go spec well good for them. And if they complain explain them , mostly they shall understand or if they are butheads then they shall be in spec or they shall leave. Just because one gets offended and leaves , we cant keep the whole server in unbalance and make more people mad.

what do you think about adding shuffle as a possible vote?

either everybody could call this vote or admins only to avoid vote spam.

I know we allow voting on Silent servers regarding shuffle. It seems to work decently. Unfortunately, JayMod and NQ mods attract different people than Silent mod does. For JayMod I'd have to unfortunately say no.

First and foremost, Shuffle is broken on most mods. It was designed for either per-map XP or scrims. Not XP save servers. What I mean by this is that teams can and will likely become even more unbalanced. Once upon a time I had more XP than most on Jay servers. I was- and am hardly the best player however. Shuffle is based on XP though. So I got automatically !put as a god-tier player. See how that can cause imbalance?

Also, there's too many trolls, and folks that cannot handle being shuffled- players and members alike. Just a few years ago we had an experiment with JayMod where we brought Silent type team balancing and autoshuffle to at least Jay 2 and 3. For lack of a better word, it was a failure. Even some of our current and past members got angry and got childish. I'm still disappointed in those that ragequit and I don't think it's wise to try it again. I take enough breaks from JayMod as it is with all of the bull, we really don't need more.

As much as we're here to admin- we also want the ability to play... and babysitting even more stackers and trolls due to shuffle ain't gonna help.

I had thought that the last (or the next-to-last) version of Jaymod had changed the shuffle to work based on the rate of change of XP of the players and not their total XP.

 

That is a bit better, but still not "perfect".
