Guy shot from a high level hotel room down into a crowd of people hundreds of feet away. Can't wait to see how the NRA tries to spin this one.

Whats there to spin this shit happens when you live in a free society.

Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Muslim?

It is reported that ISIS tried to claim credit for this attack, but it seems that either they or the reports were lying.

This topic is about the incident and the victims.  There is no room here for uninformed speculation.

Political or religious rumor-mongering will be removed.  We do not want to be part of the "social media" storm.

I would rather concentrate on how people helped people, as they do in all disasters.

So many people lined up to give blood that the blood banks had to close.  The first-day donations filled them to capacity.  I almost said that "Las Vegans lined up", but LV is a tourist-town, so there is no telling how many people from other cities or nations gave blood to help strangers.

Such a tragedy, very upset with humanity lately, too much violence all around the world. :(

A real tragic news!

It's still surprising how that man entered the hotel with such a big ass firearm... Without anyone noticing... Or all the checking

I got live updates on this yesterday as I was working.

10 turned to 20, which turned to 50, etc... in just one hour. This is absolutely horrific and I have no words.

I think it's important in times like this to turn to the ones we love and trust and thank them for being in our lives. I also think it's important to concentrate more on the recovery efforts and the compassion that goes out than the attack. Terrorists feed on information, the media, hysteria, and public opinion.

As long as we stand together as one and disregard terror, terrorists lose. Everytime we're scared to go out, meet new people, or pay attention to the gruesome news reports, terrorists win. Terrorism isn't one religion, one nation, one group, or even one person. It's one thought.

What we need to do is to stand together and refuse to be terrified. Because as an entire human race, we're stronger than any being, any group, any ideology, any nation, and most of all- one thought.
