I've been thinking about a new mouse for some time. I now have Logitech Anywhere MX with new Omron buttons and thinner teflon slides.
However, it is wireless and in ET it does not always work. Besides it is heavy.

My types are:
1) Logitech G Pro

2) Logitech G403 Prodigy

3) SteelSeries Sensei 310

What to choose? Allegedly, the SteelSeries has the best sensor, but weaker slides from G Pro.

The Prodigy is a nice mouse. I've been using one for about 6 months. The only thing is setting variable DPI reverts to default occasionally for some reason

I personally like the ergonomics on the prodigy I've never tried the Steel though.

Have always used gaming mouse for even work. Works best so far. Retired my old G5 after 10 years :)

I use the Razer Diamondback V2.

Got it for aound $80-85, but it was %100 percent worth it.

It comes with access to the Razer Program, where you can customize the mouse. You can make autoclickers, macros, you name it.

I recently acquired the Logitech G Pro ( 2 month with it) and everything works really good, buttons have that solid click sound and it has the best sensor of Logitech (PMW3366). If you have big hands, I would suggest to go for the G502 instead (My previous mouse), because the G Pro is relatively small and may give you some issues with handling it. G502 is bigger and heavier too, but it has so many useful and well placed extra buttons that will give you and advantage in gaming and your regular desktop browsing.

As a side note, due to personal experience with the brand; stay away from Razer products.  I bought a razer deathadder that was fine until the left click button broke in less than 4 months. I thought it was bad luck, so I bought another one and it broke again in less than 2 months this time! Compared to my G502 that it is in good condition after 5 years of heavy noob hunting, the quality speaks for itself.

I like simplicity and such bizarre mice do not fit me. :)

I use claw grip, My mouse have only 35 mm height.

Logitech G Pro - 38,2 mm

Logitech G403 Prodigy - 43 mm

SteelSeries Sensei 310 - 38.95 mm

I've got steelseries rival 100.

Not bad stuff BUT I can only choose between 250 - 500 - 1000 - 1250 - 1500 - 1750 and 2000 dpi.

The best to me is around 800dpi for 1.0 sensi in ET. -_-

So, I put sensi at 1.15 - 1.25. Not the same sensation...need to restart to learn how playing.

Better to have same config than the old one I think.

research which optical sensors are used and make sure there is no real or artificial (lag) mause acceleration

I used wireless in the past, the sensitivity would change with battery levels, making it harder to play et. I would have to recalibrate each day. technology may be more reliable now, I wouldn't be sure

Try a few unplugged, whichever one feels right physically, get that one. You can go as high tech as you want but it'll never be right if it's not built right for you..

The G9x fits my hand perfectly and with all the weights installed it's a good weight too.. When it dies, I'll fix it or get another one if I can.
