Raw64life Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 It is funny to read social media today. Personally, I think America was screwed either way, so I am not shocked. I live in New York, one of the many states where your vote is worthless, so I didn't vote and never have. 3 Quote
-=HipKat=- Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 So now that it's over, I have looked back over my life and reflect on how many times I've tried to point out that our leaders do not care about us. That our government is bought and sold by Wall Street, big business, back door deals and we, the people have suffered because if it. I've thought about all the people I grew up with that worked at Bethlehem Steel, Trico, Ford, Chevy, DuPont, etc and sadly shook my head as those jobs moved overseas. Those factories closed and people in my income and age group lost jobs. Lost financial security. Worked 2,3 jobs. Wives forced to work, not to get ahead, but to survive. I've seen people accused of living beyond their means, just because they wanted cable tv, or a better car. And shook my head in disgust. I have hated this government and I have hated watching them get fat while the people starved. I don't believe Donald Trump will "make America great again."I think he will fail more than succeed, but I also knew that Hillary would only let Washington get fatter while the rest of the country continued to deteriorate. So I voted for Trump at the last minute, because Hillary represents everything I have grown to hate about this country. And my conscience would not allow me to circle her name on the ballot. Hillary didn't lose because of emails. She lost because she's disingenuous, and represents decades of growing disconnect between the government and the people. She represents a culture that embraces political correctness and puts a target on lower to middle class, uneducated white males. She represents the source of growing frustration in the American people that live outside of urban culture. 6 Quote

Platonic Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 The moment when political correctness became a blame and political incorrectness became the way to get in office. The moment when statements from presidential candidates didn't need to resemble the truth. That's the moment Trump won. Respect the American choice? Sure. Respect disinformation of people and lack of good choices in a quickly changing world? Never. 2 Quote
Ann!b@l Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) So I voted for Trump at the last minute, because Hillary represents everything I have grown to hate about this country. And my conscience would not allow me to circle her name on the ballot. Well.. This is what mainly led the world to war in the past (yeah, I have ww2 in mind) even though for now all this is only speeches from him. Was it worthy to vote for the worst in order to avoid the bad.. No imho.. But only time will tell.. In waiting, good luck!! ps: I'm not blaming you nor pointing a finger at you.. This is just a sad statement of how world turned and thinks (again).. And don't worry, soon (2017) France will have the same kind of choice to do imho.. Sarkozy vs Le Pen.. And tbh I'm pretty sure our country will take the same path.. Medias rule nowadays and thank to them for all their work of misinformation.. They wanted some show they will be served as well. Edited November 9, 2016 by Ann!b@l 2 Quote
Maximo Decimo Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 And now, our country will be the point of his attacks, he hates México more than other countries. Unfortunately, we have tons of troubles with corrupt politicians, the drugs and now we have to deal with his campaing proposals. We have to be prepare, economically talking, for the big problems that México and the rest of the world has to pass through. 4 Quote

Extalibanman Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Yea no kidding on the market plummets! Those of us that had good brokers & common sense sold all shares prior to last night's bs. Now, here comes the financial down pour once again. Let's see if he can "Make america great again"....like it ever was! It's funny though, people think their vote actually matters. It's all up to the Electoral College to decide not the popular vote. But then again, why not let the people think they have some kind power over the government. 1 Quote
