Popular Post vehx Posted February 22, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 22, 2016 i am extremely sad today , after 18 years of loyal and faithful friendship , i had to make one of the most difficult choices a pet owner can be faced with . after an 8 month battle with cancer , i had to make the heart breaking decision to put my dog shelby to sleep , shelby had the most loving and gentle soul of any of the many animals i have had the honor of sharing my life with , and i am grief stricken beyond my ability to verbalize , as hard as it was to do , he is no longer in pain and i pray he has found his way to rainbow bridge , the reality of it all has not even begun to set in , and i am already emotionally wrecked , my 4 other dogs and 3 cats seem to know , and are grieving as well , the only consolation i have is that he knew he was loved , i was with him till the very end holding his paw in my hand and petting his little head with the other , i know he will be with me always , and i am sure he is in a happy place because i truly believe all dogs go to heaven , i thank all of you that have taken the time to read this , i want to honor his memory , and let the world know that i loved him and i will miss him more than words can possibly express R.I.P. in loving memory of Shelby my little buddy Feb. 22 2016 16 Quote

Leader RedBaird Posted February 22, 2016 Leader Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) Many of us have lost "little buddies" and will again in the future. That knowledge doesn't make it any easier when it happens. All that we can do is to help our little buddies "live for the day", with fun and food and love. DFighter Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 thats sad indeed I am just lucky this time my mother and my dog both had surgery for cancer in the last year and both recovered.it's such a shit disease I keep wondering why there still isnt a good cure and why still none have a clue what causing it.they find often things that cause it but there is probably so many things we do as humanity that causing this otherwhile not so many people or animals get this terrible diseasemy condoleances and take care 1 Quote
