Human beings don’t tend to like old things unless it’s some old liquor but it’s not the case for =F|A=. The more it becomes older the more we love it and enjoy it! Like every other clan in ET we started our clan with small 20 slot server called F|A ETPUB RECRUITING XPS. We started with ETPub 8.1 because of its eye candy feature of “map voting”. Within few days server was full and players had to wait to join our server. At that time we decided to add another 32 slot Jaymod server which we named F|A RECRUITING XP SAVE and the rest was history which you all know. Like every new server admin we also wanted some low cost server so that we have to pay less on our monthly bills. Within 3 weeks we realized that an old saying of “You get what you pay for” is 100% true. 6-7 crashes, down time of hours, immense server lag, etc issues made us learn that no good thing comes with low cost. We soon moved our servers and website to different host for better gaming environment and from that point onwards we have never looked down at cost. After moving to new host we where shinning like Koh-i-noor. Those where some days which me, Joe and Rainier will probably remember for life time! This year we also added new dedicated forums for RPG and MMORPG style games where you can directly login with your =F|A= forums email ID(or username) / password. http://rpggaming.net/forum/ With time I keep hearing from other server admins that =F|A= is rich clan. My reply has been always =F|A= is not rich but players playing on our servers and our members have golden heart. If we would be rich, we wouldn’t have donation button on our forums. The needs and usage of our forums has grown much larger then what general players can imagine. In 2011, more then 120,214 unique users have visited our website/forums resulting in 4,011,103 Pageviews and its still counting. We run our servers on: 1. US – Quad Core Xeon X3460 ( COD4 / ET / Red Orchestra 2) - Windows 2008 R2 Ent. 2. Euro I – Quad Core i7 ( Website / Forum ) - Linux 3. Euro II – Quad Core i7 ( COD4 / ET ) - Windows 2008 R2 Ent. 4. Euro III – Quad Core Xeon ( ET / TF2 / CS :S ) – Linux 5. Redirect – We run 3 redirects for map downloads. Our website is powered by Joomla and forums by IPB. I would like to say thanks to our regulars for playing on our server, admins for monitoring on our server and keeping environment clean and enjoyable and to =F|A= members for making Fearless Assassins a wonderful community!
