Senior Member Vindstot Posted February 23, 2023 Senior Member Posted February 23, 2023 It was a bit silly and stupid movie. Interesting concept. Wasnt bad Id say. There were some things that didnt make sense, but basically that was the movie about, so I cant complain about that. I dont really like puppeteering in a movie, so that made it a but worse for me. But there was kinda like a contradiction which I dont get. At the end Craig went into the small girl's brain, and he couldnt control the girl. He went into the brain of Malkovich, and could control him. When is someone old enough to be able to be controlled like that? Would he learn to control her as she grows older? If not, why not? What happend to all the other people who went into Malkovich? Now he has multiple personality disorder? Why he keeps inviting new people, if there are already others in his head? Isnt that enough? I guess somehow he learned to control his target, but needs other people as well who he fools, but needs them to make this connection stable enough... it could have been said, then hed have been shown as more evil, which would have been better. Maybe when you go into a too young persons brain, the person going into is dissolving in the changing personality of the host, and slowly loses his own identity, but a bit stays within the host First I was like WTF...??? Then I was like, ah I see, drugs Lots of drugs 1 1 1 Quote

LazyHippo Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Old but gold, the Air Force One is hijacked by some "radicals" from the former republics of USSR. Its a good movie, a bit cheesy at the end but enjoyable. Gary Oldman really makes a brilliant work and says a lot of interesting things in his roll as villain. Give it a 8/10 Quote
Senior Member Vindstot Posted February 26, 2023 Senior Member Posted February 26, 2023 Another vampire movie, not like theres a lot already. Wasnt bad tho. I liked in it that it was also funny. I just dont understand why wouldnt Charlie take the offer to remain young forever to be with his gf. I think Id take that offer I dont get tho that how do they become so strong in this movie. Like you cant scratch their skin. Its also always good to see The Doctor appearing in a movie It was a pretty good movie. It had some good twists. I didnt get it why the humans start fighting against each other when there is a completely other specias on the ship who try to kill them. Yeah, about 1000 people are enough to start a new civilization Movies really love depicting that earth will become an inhospitable hostile polluted environment It was too dark sometimes, I like seeing the movie, but when it is too dark, I just dont see it Quote
Senior Member Vindstot Posted March 1, 2023 Senior Member Posted March 1, 2023 This was a good movie I dont see tho why a priest would have that big of a power, he literally have a huge armored band of knigths as escort. I know it is fantasy, but would have been more beliavable if a baron or count was with him, but the priest would remain in command. I also dont think there were a lot of Catholic black knigths... I wonder if they were there for "diversity".... I wonder in this fantasy worlds the werewolves are what kind of creatures, do they live forever for example? Because also in this movie I dont really see why the girl wouldnt consider joining his father. She just gets him killed and she is not even a bit sad. But uhhhh her bf is bitten, lets still love him as much as possible! Also it was revealed kinda late who is the werewolf. I think that part could have been explored more Wasnt bad. But a few things didnt make sense in it or wasnt explained, which I was missing. Why was Balkan following Corso if he just killed the other 3 owners? How come that only Corso noticed these differences in the books, when the fking bookseller who said he took years to inspect that book, and noticed an error in the "s" character, but didnt notice that 1 entire towers in the picture is missing.... I get why the girl is not really explained any more than it was. But I wouldnt have minded some more hints about her The end part... Corso was a money hungry greedy person all in his life, he can deceive anyone for more money. Then he has the chance to get as much as he never got at the end, but oh no, he chooses to perform a ritual instead, while he before never believed in those things. Not a likely character development A Distopian alt history movie, interesting. The development of earth was different, as they were busy with killing vampires. Okey, not... There were also different spieces as well, and vampires were depicted differently... actually so differently that they should have been called differently. Apart from the name "priest", "clergy", there is nothing priestly in there, so a knight order, like the Teutons or The Hospitalers, would have been much more suiting here. Because also... a female priest? They appeared catholic to me all along. Then the woman says to break their celibacy and that they dont need anyone to contact God, so basically Protestantism was invented here. But imo the plot was weak. Didnt have any meaningful or impactful twist. Just one line going through on killing vampires. The scenes were also too dark, I understand that vampire + night... but I like seeing what Im looking at. Also it looked like this society lives in a blend of 1880s and 2050, and 1200s for the religion. If you want to make a new "Vampire" movie, since there has been so many, this is not how you should do it 😄 2 Quote
Senior Member Vindstot Posted March 11, 2023 Senior Member Posted March 11, 2023 This would have been a very good movie.... but the main reason he decided to wait... thats just bullshit. I cant say anything better than it, the reason the plot existed is bullshit. The airport crew tried to speak to him with C2 language knowledge like they talk to a native speaker. Never bothered trying to find ANY method to communicate with him better. A dictionary would have made it better. Or if his English knowledge would have been better, or showed more improvement with some reason to it. But no The "antagonist" character is unrelatable in any way. He seemed like a good guy at the beginning, and wanted him to go away, later he caused troubles, and said "now that you have caused a lot of troubles to me, Ill make sure you stay here longer so you can cause more troubles!". The "antagonist" seemed to be more and more reclusive, while making stupider and stupider mistakes Apart from these, it was not a bad movie. But they really should have given it a better reason for him to stay... A basic horror movie. It was actually more funny than scary. The main character didnt seem to take the movie seriously. The make up of the characters were unrealistic But if it is rather a psychological movie, not a horror movie, that we see the things happening from the psyche of the main character, thatd make this better. But nothing that makes it stand out Well, yeah. Some characters can shoot blasts of wind with their hands and they get old if they do it often. Again a drama between a boy and girl, where the boy is in love and would go to lengths to protect the weak girl. Could have been much better Yeah, a person who is the greatest strategist of all time comes to save a city from an entire empire. Too heroistic approach if it wants to be this realistic towards history. Also its main moral of the story is too much of a cliché. I couldnt follow too well who is at whose side. Cant just one party wear blue clothes and the other red? At least the viewer would know what is he watching 1 Quote
Lusciousdrunk Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 One of the better horror movies out there. This one is from Australia. This movie definitely has a dreadful feeling throughout. 9/10. Excellent. 1 Quote
Senior Member Vindstot Posted March 14, 2023 Senior Member Posted March 14, 2023 This one was a quite good horror movie I generally dont like kids in a movie, tho this was well written. The plot was misterious for the beginning. Although it tried to remain misterious even when it was clearly understandable what was going on roughly. I would have like it more if some spoilers were left out of the movie, the movie itself literally told you whats going to happen in the end. At the Santa part this movie was a bit too complicated and not easily understandable. The ending was interesting So good movie, was worth watching it Quote
-=HipKat=- Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 With my 15 yr old Daughter and it was so good!! NOT with my daughter and it was also pretty darn good! Quote
