The Last Starfighter (1984)

 

 

 

Science-Fiction themed movie in which a teenage boy gets recruited into an intergalactic spacewar through achieving a highscore in an arcade game. Impressive use of nowadays comicly outdated early computer graphics as special effects, feels at times like a less shrill but also less memorable version of Flash Gordon mixed with the aesthetics of Star Wars, all around solid movie.
