Just got watched Calgary - Anaheim game from Tuesday, (was super busy yesterday). Rämö/Calgary bug has bite me LoL, but it has been fun to follow Rämö games, it is first time for couple year that i have watched others than Wild games, and it has made good. Rämö play a lot samekind style as Niittymäki was playing, so when i has watched Rämö games lately i started miss Niittymäki games even more lol, probably will follow Calgary more now, will try to watch games when Rämö is in net and they not play in sameday as Wild play. In game against Ducks, i dont know why coach Hartley didnt act at all on Anaheim hard neutral zone trap, Calgary should have throw puck to corner and then win that puck, now they was hitting they head to Anaheim Neutral zone wall all game and didnt get even 20 shot to goal, i was surprised that Hartley didnt change gamestyle, ofc its not easy to change if that gamestyle has bring 11 home win in row, but great coach know when to change style and when to be patiance. Good to see that Hartley after 3 season has choose his number one goalie, and it has bring calmness to goalies/team play. Before Hartley changed goalie after one bad game, example if goalies was in hot streak, but played only one bad game, Hartley give a lot critic and swap starter, when he should have stand behind his goalie. Ofc if your tactict (as Calgary had last 3 season) is to use two goalie rotatio you have to swap goalies time to time, but its better to give them example games in alternative games, before second goalie could sit in bench 6-8 game without game, only because he played one bad game, i like Detroit and Dallas style, to give goalies alternative games or give goalies 2-3 game row and then change to other.

Watching a lot hockey now, Calgary games too even that they play in same day than Wild lol, have to hide all the scores when i first watch Wild game so i dont see Calgary scores lol. Daam i love hockey so much, Wild won game and wow how much it cheer up me.

 

Start doing that Middle season hockey news today, i had to think couple day if i have powers to do it, but when i started to do it, i realised how much i enjoy do it, it give me enjoy to do hockey related stuff like my NHL manager game.

 

EDIT: yes i watched Gold game where Finland won it was great game! Hyvä Suomi!

Just got Watched San Jose vs Calgary game, it was my seventh Calgary Game of the season, some points what i has seen.

 

1. Calgary defenders play ultra agressive way. Team has very good offensive defenders, but only one defensive defender, who is not really good either (Engeland). In one game i saw that Giordano and TJ Brodie was 2vs1 Breakway. Lol both defenders was in breakaway, that show how offensive style they use.

 

2. Rämö has played well lately, before last night game his save% was over 93.2 from last 15 game and over 92. from November to last game, (after he came back from AHL). Yes he gave 5 goal in last game, but those was hard goals, one breakaway goal, one powerplay goal, one tip in, and two bounched in the goal from own player. Lately Rämö has been one of hotest goalies in NHL. His overall stats are still not top of league because whole team has poor October.

 

3. Team give huge amount of giveways, mostly because they offesive gamestyle, but also because they are so young group. Rämö have to make huge saves in every game because so big amount of giveways. Mostly team give those giveways in own defence zone, and those giveways come from forwards and defenders. And team give a lot breakaways too because defenders so often jump to offense and leave blue-line open.

 

4. I predict in my earlie season prediction that Calgary will go to conference finals because they have best defence group of NHL, and they still have, but they could trade one of defenders to get defensive defender or forward. They are too much one line team, Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler is one of most dangerous lines in NHL, but how many knows team second or third line players, they get a lot product from defenders, i think they defenders has made more points than any other team in NHL, but they dont get enough production from second or third line and that is biggest reason why they are outside of playoff line.

 

5. I think Calgary play most entertaining hockey of league, team can be 3 or 2 goal behind, come and tie, lead by 2 goal and then lose game for one etc.. Team make huge amount of goals because other team has problems to shutdown those agressive defenders, but team give a lot goals too because that gamestyle, but who cares its so entertaining to watch that i recommend you all to watch couple Calgary game and see what i mean.

Drouin (TBL) to Dumba (D) would be perfect trade, please please Fletcher take Drouin to our team, Drouin would be perfect fit for Koivu line with Zucker! I read that Drouin will probably be traded in this week and Wild is in the mix

So little bit info, In my earlie season prediction i put these teams in the playoffs.

 

Chicago, New York R, Los Angles, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Washington, Anaheim, Nashville, Montreal, St. Louis, Calgary, Dallas, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Florida

 

And now look like only Columbus will miss the Playoffs. So not looking bad i add my earlie season playoff prediction and i made new predection too, u can see what changes i did, but i say i didnt make many.

 

For players who is listed to players who can be traded or who team would like to get is players who i think is available, ofc teams would like to get players like Rask, Malkin, Tarasenko, Crosby etc.. if those would be available, so dont wait those players in my lists, i has done couple team ready already, but i post teams in here site when i can, so probably not every day and i go with my feelings, if i get tired or lost interest i will not make this ready. Need from Trade Deadline:

 

Wingers in the second line. Maybe Drouin, Purcell, Okposo,Killorn, Yakubov or Eberle. Anaheim dont have a lot wide in the wingers and its team biggest weak point. Team probably try to get at least two new winger to group and caliber of those decide a lot if they go to playoffs or not.

 

Players who can be available for Trade

 

Some has sayed that Vatanen is available, but he has been best defender, so i think Khudobin or Andersen can be available, maybe Fowler or some of young defenders from AHL. Silverberg or Hageling could go too, but trade value would be small. Andersen can be used, if they want big winger to group, and because Gibson can be starter of NHL u can use Andersen in trade. Team have a lot very talent defenders in AHL, but they value is not as big as Fowler so they could trade him, if they decide keep Vatanen. It would be huge mistake if team trade Vatanen.

 

Couple key words:

 

It has been big surprise for many that they offence has been sturggled so hard, i gave big number too in my first prediction (8.5) for offense, but that they can go playoffs in this year, they need more secondary scoring, many has put a lot blame to Getzlaf and Perry and they havent play well either, but huge error trades and signings from GM Murray has ruined once so powerfull and great offensive team, Murray trade couple key forwards Palmieri, Bobby Ryan and let couple key forward go in free like Perrault and Beleskey, and take third liners instead of those first/second liners, like Silverberg and Hagelin, Stewart, Santorelli and Horcoff. Team cost huge bill of GM Murray awfull decision with forwards group. So to be able to go Playoffs they have to fix offensive group, they play NHL weakest Division and if Perry and Getzlaf pick they game they can go to playoff, when goalies play so well in goal.

Need from Trade Deadline:

 

Defenders, team have young defender group, which they wait a lot, but team allow too much goals. There is not a lot defenders available in this trade deadline. But they really need good veteran, look what effect Beauchemin have for Colorado. Maybe Streit from Philadelphia or Carle from Tampa. Maybe looking goalie too, guys like Pavelec, Hutchinson or Hiller could interesting team. Team have room in salary cap also and if they want look new starter they could even try to take Lehtonen from Dallas, or Howard from Detroit to new starter and buy out Smith after season. But Domingue has played well and they might give him chance, its come cheaper to give chance to some young goalie from team, than look new from markets.

 

Players who can be available for Trade:

 

Arizona is usually very queit in trade deadline, but players who can be available are Downie (LW) and Grossman (D), they probably would like to trade Smith (G) too, but there is no teams who would like to take his big salary, Smith has 5,67 salary hit for the end of 2018-2019 season.

 

Couple key words:

 

Team need defenders in the group, Coach has done great job with current team, they probably need goalie too, but will look out Dominigue first. But will not be surprised if they trade goalie also. But now they allow too much goals to be playoff team, even that they are in second spot of Pasific when i wrote this. Forwards are minor question mark too, but there is a lot talent, but in my mind they play over they current skill now, and all is because Coach Tippett doing so great job. So there migh come dropp in second half in goal scorring. I see that Arizona can make same what Colorado made in 2013-2014 and Calgary in last year and go to playoffs with young group which play over they current skill lvl and that can be seen in next year as has been seen with Colorado (dropp out from playoffs after 2013-2014).
