So I was a little bit late ;)

 

Hope DD will place this new rotation soon and we will enjoy it all.

Cheers Ann! will be good to play some maps we haven't seen in a while.

 

DD will need some time as each map has to be opened and the name checked as if you get the mapname.bsp wrong the map wont load. It is mostly the same as file name but not always. He also has to check each pk3 to make sure there are no campaign set files there, that would mess up rotation. Its not simple I guess is my point so be patient. Better to take the time to do it right than have it stick on 1 map for 12 hours.. :)

 

If you need any help tracking waypoint and goal bot files let us know.

Glider, v2base & library (with this one, server freezes if you attempt to stop\restart it) removed.

replaced by erdenberg, ROP_River4, v2_factory.

takes 3secs to open each pk3 with winrar and check mapname :D

concerning the second last ss: only a few mins earlier we were playing 16v16 on oasis

Bioman aka\former Fex|Ninja is a constant whiner and did the same on all almost all new maps yesterday after each death. I guess that, as rater, not knowing a map doesn't help to gain enough points for his ranking\ego.

 

A bit the same with Rott who whines for every shits possible even though issues come from his side.

 

So, meh..

 

Still, if real problems of lags are encountered on server, timestamp, screenshots of lagometer\ping and winmtr measures (any info) are welcome. Same goes for the choice of maps, either they suggest either they will have to make do with the choice of others.

Sure I guess you are right. Even though a lot of players have left the server (not just bioman) it does not mean a lot since players might be afraid of some maps at first. So I supoose we're gonna wait a bit and see the rate for those maps in a few weeks - to see if they were rated good or not so well.

Still, the day that you posted your statement, I had removed the map I guessed it was on your screenshots and reduced so the amount of maps to 31 instead of 32 just in case that would cause real issues. I also asked to some regulars\members to find a good map (preferably of small or medium size) to replace Bridge map.

 

 

For the rest, I'm pretty satisfied of the results of this rotation for now. We everyday reach the 2nd rank of servers and are sometimes very close of Jay1 according TB & SL ranking during the period of high frequentation of ET servers. But yes only time will tell.

1.) Minastirith out (booring map ffs with players ammount above 10 -12 each team lags as hell, and waay too long map imo) - castle attack map in (one of my fav.map for fun sniping, for roof campimg nubs also good)

2.) Pure frag map out (50-60 min will make ppl rq after some time when no admin arround to end map) -- replace with et-tower http://fearless-assassins.com/files/file/888-et-tower-b27j/ it’s a fun ass map based on controling the flag on top of the tower for some ammount of time. Think bot’s are disabled on this map, at least they were on some servers, that would be maybe only “problem” , but beside that map rules!

 

3.mlb_hotchkiss out - replace with ctf-pool http://fearless-assassins.com/files/file/89-ctf-pool-v2-ctf-pool-v2pk3/

Another fun map I liked to play years back.

 

 

So my thoughts were to put some fun in the map rotation, tower and pool maps are soo fun imo. But ofc it’s just my opinion. :)

Castle attack why not.. might be a good alternative at Bridge map if all agree on this map.

about the 2 others I'm a bit more doubtful.

How the hell did you do that? Than leave it 20 min is ok!

 

Edit: ok so leave pure frag and instead mlb hotchkis put tower or pool?

 

Edit: nooo bridge seems like a cool map way more interesting than minas wich is allready played trillion times on most of our servers
