Format - 

Add Map -> Map name  + URL to download the map - if not in our download section, upload and share URL.
Remove map -> Map name

 

Can provide multiple add/remove maps in same post.

Here's the current rotation with what I suggest to remove and what to change.

 

supplydepot2, 0, 64,
teuthonia_final, 12, 64,
adlernest, 0, 40,
bba0-beta2, 30, 64, -> We don't get 30 players anymore and this map is too big without that so it's just in rotation without reason
caen2, 0, 52,
haunted_mansion, 24, 52,
frostbite, 0, 40,
fa_italy_b3_fixed, 12, 64,
braundorf_final, 0, 40,
venice_ne4, 8, 64,
pirates, 0, 40,
fa_oasis_b2, 16, 64,
et_beach, 0, 40,
praetoria_m2, 24, 64, -> Either remove or lower to 16, 64. I've yet to see this map appear in rotations as ET Beach never ends with more than 20 people.
sp_delivery_te, 0, 50,
railgun, 24, 64, -> Tugs are too buggy to enjoy this map in my opinion. Buggy tuggys.
et_ice, 12, 50, -> Sitting at -44.

goldrush-gals, 6, 64,
fa_bremen_final, 0, 64,
fa_temple, 24, 64,
desertrats, 20, 64,
library_b3, 12, 64,
ga_el_kef, 0, 12, -> Sitting at -12.
raid_final, 0, 12, -> Been on the server for too long and I see people leave or sit in spec for this map.

school, 16, 50, -> Lower to 12, 50. I rarely see it appear in rotation.
v1rocket_b2, 24, 64, -> Never seen this appear so needs lowering. Maybe 12, 64?

goldrush, 20, 64, -> Replace with GALS and move it so it's in rotation twice and as far from the other GALS as possible. Goldrush brings in players from what I've seen and the base version is impossible for allies.

 

I don't have the most recent scores of all maps, I think it's something DD needs to fix. The only two I've seen in the negative while on the server today were Ice and El Kef so let me know which others are negative please.

Other people's thoughts? What should be the min and max players of the 5 maps posted by @captnconcrete and for glider? I'm not doing all that stuff myself again 😛.

 

@daredevil Is it feasible to make two rotation files and have them swap out automatically on certain days? For example rotation 1 on Monday - Thursday and then rotation 2 on Friday - Sunday.

What do other people think to this idea as well?

Maybe we could have 3 rotations, one just for Sunday with fun maps like the updated golden dunk, baserace and a bunch of CTF maps for example. I dunno, just an idea to change things up and it's something similar to the mini gamedays that Beginners 2 has. Maybe give certain admins level 13 commands just on Sundays somehow. I don't know how that could be automated though given the level database wouldn't be able to update if it's swapping back and forth between 2 versions though right?

 

Also DD could you look into fixing the map_stats.txt and map_ending_stats.txt as they been updated by the server since Dec 2020. Sorry to ask a lot but there's nothing I can do about this stuff.

+1 on two rotations as long as there's a good balance of maps with the ones rarely played, but the busy times isn't so much by days as it is hours. Certain times of day are almost always busy. For me, after work til about 8PM (Central Time) is almost always more busy than mid afternoon

i agree with gameplan on rest of rotation ..

 

i love the idea of 2 diff rotations. this is how we did it at bunker . one for full server or populartime and one for   slow no pop time. i could load out which ever one we needed . it was a big hit back in the b1 days. id like atlest high admins be able to swapout verses day to day that can get to be a pain. but i would be willing to try which ever way dare sees fit. thank u el! hopefully  we can get something done here thanks hip and game for ur feedback also .

What are the reasons for keeping these 2 maps? People leave every time they come on. El kef is at -12.

I do like having maps that only appear rarely but I think we've got too many at the moment so that's why the minimum needed is going to be reduced for most of them.

 

 

 

Daredevil hasn't replied to my Discord PMs so I think he's busy with real life stuff, I might just go ahead and make the new rotation as it's been a few weeks since we've had one and there's too many negative maps.

 

I've been thinking about setting up a poll with a list of maps and people just choose what they want and anything with more than X number of votes is what the rotation would be. Not sure if it's worth the time to set it up. What do you guys think to the idea?

Just a thought but last time we had Marrakech nights on there it was the weird version where the documents were in the center building and I don't think it was a very popular version although personally I like that one the best. But what are the chances of getting the original put on there because I don't think I've seen that one or at least not for a long time.

 

My reason for wanting to lose Bremen and Venice is that both maps, Allies win almost every time and they do it quickly. I love both of those maps but if we can't lengthen the spawn time for allies to make it more fair then let's just dump them for a while.

Agreed that some maps need to go, pretty much the ones you mentioned.

For starters, let's get a new lineup : be patient, it will be available at the end of the week.
Some interesting suggestions : let's see what can be done next.

u still have server access????? we should just reinstate that level 17 u had... DD responded to me a few weeks back. so he is around. letdown and eazy i know have access. i like the vote idea.. any forward movement is better than a stall. or maybe i should just do what u suggested to me on jay2.oh man the head ache. my self i am getting tired of same ole maps all the time. id like too see maps we havent played to death already.

Can we get rid of fata morgana and the gauntlet?

They keep killing the server and are not very interesting.

 

Could we please get V2 Base TE Final?

Fata : Some players like it and some don't

Gauntlet  : haven't played it yet. Edit : I have now and removed it because of a bot issue

Make sure people vote. I'd like some feedback from other players.

Then I will remove maps with negative votes as soon as I get the chance.

V2 Base could be a nice addition.
