ET Starting over

Hey there! So this will probably be long a winded and pointless and ill talk about myself the whole time

 

So back in 2003 I was 15 and my family got our first PC ever, it was a dell dimension 3000, Some sales person tricked my mother into buying an awesome GPU for it and a Network card. A friend of mine played ET and introduced it to me. It was an incredible escape from poopy reality, I played Jmod servers 25-40 hours a week for about 2 years. So I was 17 and I was in grade 12, me and my family got in a huge fight about gaming even tho I was working at a local gas station studying for mechanics at the time, Gaming on ET was my hobby, Anywho long story short I quit school and moved out on my own to the city a few hours away, went broke got in tons of trouble, lived homeless for 2 solid years and lived in my car summer and winter

 

I moved to the next bigger city, somehow landed a half decent job, a wife and bought a house. now its 2020 and I have never had a PC newer than windows XP. just a few weeks ago I found a dell dimension 3000 at a thrift shop identical to the one I had as a kid and I all I could remember was the great times playing ET and the fun I had. I took it home and ordered a new PSU, MOBO, CPU and ram. Basically I built I modern PC out of that dimension 3000

 

SO the first thing I did was find a download for ET so I could shoot bots and just have a laugh, instead I download it and realize its updated and still in use! a few guys playing online told me check out this site so here iam reliving a game from my past that I loved so much! I cant express how grateful iam for whoever took the time to update that game and keep servers running

 

 I sure hope iam welcome to play with you guys! Its been about 12 years since I played ET online so I will need a lot of practice

Welcome back to ET, always nice to see oldies returning and to be honest its the only real good thing to come of this global CovID 19 mess.

 

I'm not sure Jaymod was released until around the 2005/6 sort of time but a nice little back story none the less which as rambo says has a happy (ish) ending.

 

I tend to play FA NQ1 (NoQuarter Mod) server and stray into FA Silent every now and then..... so as well as Jaymod maybe give try them mods a try out too, some great players and always friendly.
