These are the main ones w/o even having to look through his config 😇 r_ignorehwgamma 1 r_overbrightbits 1 r_mapoverbrightbits 2 (can set to 1 for more glow but don't recommend it on 90% of maps.) r_gamma 3 r_intensity 1.5
  2. Not what I'm talking about, I mean I started changing my sensitivity back in the mid 20teens for probably the same reasons as you and have gotten to a point where I don't even make it through a single map with one sensitivity. I'll change it every few minutes until I find one that works but 99% of the time I'll be done playing well before that ever happens. It's a slippery slope Hip, be careful 😅 Changing it a bit to match your age is fine but just keep it limited. If you find yourself doing it often then instead take the time to break down each aspect of the game and practice them one by one. Losing 1v1 points more towards a movement issue over an aiming one so you should be working on your keyboard hand instead of adjusting your sensitivity.
  3. You're just getting old Hip. Not even going to go into the horror story of what sensitivity I use, or I should say, don't use now. If you're losing a lot in 1v1's spend some time working on your movement/strafe and reaction speed. Tbh, just break down the game and work on anything. It's going to take more work on your part to play at the same level as when you were younger.
  4. @RNGesus Pretty sure I have that image around here somewhere and it has nothing to do with me downloading every image in that style I could find. Definitely not something I would do.

OBS or shadowplay work well enough. Making videos out of dm's using vdub and an editor takes wayyy too much effort.
  6. Got it working. Seems I overlooked one last lib from the list @LarrY provided. Thanks everyone for your help! As promised, dog hiding from thunder!
  7. Ran those commands and checked after, all three lib's are now there and the latest version. This did get me one step closer to running the game, it finally gave me some info when it failed!
  8. I spent a little time last night trying to get 32bit Legacy running on my laptop with little luck. I was hoping someone a little more knowledgeable with Legacy in linux or linux itself might be able to point me into the right direction. Laptop - Latitude 7320 detachable. (not going to be playing, just hanging out) OS - Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS I was able to get 64bit running with no issues using a snap package, unfortunately I couldn't find one for 32. https://github.com/etlegacy/etlegacy-snap For 32 I've tried using the installer which automatically adds all binaries, pak1/2/3, and using the archive and manually adding the binaries with the same issue. https://github.com/etlegacy/etlegacy/wiki/Linux When I try to run Legacy using the exe (etl.i386) nothing happens. When I run it using the terminal I get "bash: ./etl.i386: cannot execute: required file not found". I don't know what file is possibly missing or how to get more information to find out which one. I have the directory installed in Home/Documets/etlegacy-v2.83.2.i386. I know in Windows Legacy is split between two locations which it isn't in linux, or at least from the way I installed it, no idea if that has anything to do with it. Any help gets rewarded with a pic of my dog. Thanks!

  13. Where exactly are you seeing "200hz"? ET, drivers, windows, some sort of overlay? Could you screenshot or print screen this for us?
  14. I just switched to an AMD card recently and can help you out when I'm home, probably monday.... if you don't have it figured out by then. One question though... You say monitor's at 240hz, r_displayrefresh 240, com_maxfps 237, and "200hz in game", what do you mean by 200hz in game? I run 144hz on monitor / displayreresh and com_maxfps 250 and have no issues with tearing, game looks great... you know, in case you just want to give up and figuring it out 🫠
