  1. Beginners 2 server ... :(
  2. I've got 28 tattoos (most of them small), so it's hard to pick one. I have a soft spot for whales and cetaceans, and I absolutely adore cats. The whale tail, cat, semi-colon and valknut I did by hand-poke (some other too, but these turned out best). So I'm proud that I did do them myself. My tattoo-artist offered to go over them, and I find it hard to say no, so most traces of my own work are gone now (this inability to say 'no' sucks because I have a tattoo of the contours of Iceland, a country I love, but it's on the back of my arm due to the suggestion of the tattoo-artist and most of the time I forget it even exists, and I hate it. I love the tattoo, but I hate the location). Anyway, the whale tail is the first one I did myself and because of my love for cetaceans, it's probably my favorite. As for meaning, the semi-colon is a "cliché"-tattoo for people struggling with mental illnesses and suicidal thoughts. After my last attempt, I chose that tattoo. I also wanted many tattoos on my wrists because I "like" to cut and scratch myself and my left wrist is sort of like my favorite position, but I won't go through a tattoo. So in an attempt to cut and scratch less, I try to get tattoos there. It helps a little, as I now mainly just scratch and go in between the tattoos. The dead tree in my hand: I wanted a hand tattoo for a long time, something that is dear to me that I could close off by closing my fist, and thus "protect from the cruel, harsh world". Trees, nature, calm my loud mind, so the choice for a tree was simple. I chose a dead tree because of my desire for death and how there is beauty in dead trees. I try to only get tattoos with meaning. My first tattoo was a tribal dragon and is probably the only one without meaning, I wanted a tattoo and just chose one from the book the tattoo artist had in his studio, although it could symbolize how naive I was and am. I've got another dragon; an angel; the vegan logo; a short text in Nordic runes; a word in Elven letters; moonglyphs; a bow and arrow; a larger piece with a tree, two ravens, a vegvisir and Nordic runes; a celtic cross; another Viking-symbol; ... And there's plans for so many more, mainly nature-themed, fantasy-themed, viking-themed, sci-fi-themed. I hate my body, so I want to cover it up with tattoos, so that I will end up not hating it anymore.
  3. Very true. But it beats getting killed all the time, that's just bad for morale Here it is. //Binds unbindall bind F1 "vote yes" bind F2 "vote no" bind F3 "ready" bind F4 "echo ^1F5 ^/Allied ^dMedic; echo ^1F6 ^/Allied ^dField ops; echo ^1F7 ^/Allied ^dEngineer; echo ^1F8 ^+Axis ^dMedic; echo ^1F9 ^+Axis ^dField Ops; echo ^1F10 ^+Axis ^dEngineer" bind F5 "echo ^/Allied ^dMedic; kill; team b 1" bind F6 "echo ^/Allied ^dField ops; kill; team b 3" bind F7 "echo ^/Allied ^dEngineer; kill; team b 2" bind F8 "echo ^+Axis ^dMedic; kill; team r 1" bind F9 "echo ^+Axis ^dField Ops; kill; team r 3" bind F10 "echo ^+Axis ^dEngineer; kill; team r 2" bind F11 "autoscreenshot" bind F12 "vstr demor" //bind ² "toggleconsole" bind TAB "+scores" bind SHIFT "+sprint" bind 1 "weaponbank 1" bind 2 "weaponbank 2" bind 3 "weaponbank 3" bind 4 "weaponbank 4" bind 5 "weaponbank 5" bind 6 "weaponbank 6" bind 7 "weaponbank 7" bind 8 "weaponbank 8" bind 9 "weaponbank 9" bind 0 "weaponbank 10" bind a "+leanleft" bind z "+forward" bind e "+leanright" bind r "+reload" bind t "messagemode" bind y "messagemode2" bind u "messagemode3" bind i bind o "+obj" bind p bind q "+moveleft" bind s "+back" bind d "+moveright" bind f "+activate" bind g "+mapexpand" bind h bind j bind k "kill" bind l "openlimbomenu" bind m bind , bind : bind w bind x "+prone" bind c "vstr crouchtoggle" bind v "mp_quickmessage" bind b "+zoom" bind n "playdead" bind SPACE "+moveup" bind MOUSE1 "+attack" bind MOUSE2 "weapalt" bind MOUSE3 "+reload" bind MWHEELUP "weapnext" bind MWHEELDOWN "weapprev" bind KP_HOME "vstr dym" set dym0 "echo ^cSmoke ^2OFF; set cg_wolfparticles 0; set dym vstr dym1" set dym1 "echo ^cSmoke ^2ON; cg_wolfparticles 1; set dym vstr dym0" set dym "vstr dym0" bind KP_PGUP "vstr opady" set opady0 "echo ^cRain/Snow/Explosion ^2OFF; set cg_atmosphericeffects 0; set opady vstr opady1" set opady1 "echo ^cRain/Snow/Explosion ^2ON; set cg_atmosphericeffects 1; set opady vstr opady0" set opady "vstr opady0" bind KP_END "vstr nextname" seta name1 "echo ^hVegan^cFor^bLife; seta name ^hVegan^cFor^bLife; seta nextname vstr name2" seta name2 "echo ^xLonesome^mPete; seta name ^xLonesome^mPete; seta nextname vstr name3" seta name3 "echo ^hRaf^bThe^cVegan; seta name ^hRaf^The^cVegan; seta nextname vstr name4" seta name4 "echo ^rVegan^dFrom^sSweden; seta name ^rVegan^dFrom^sSweden; seta nextname vstr name5" seta name5 "echo ^eFrejya's ^dDraumar; seta name ^eFrejya's ^dDraumar; seta nextname vstr name1" set nextname "vstr name1" set "cg_instanttapout 0" seta sensitivity 9 seta cfg_fov 100 set cg_muzzlefash 0 set cg_bloodflash 0 set cg_bloodtime 0 set cg_blooddamageblend 0 set cg_wolfparticles 0 set cg_bobyaw 0 set cg_bobup 0 set cg_bobroll 0 set cg_bobpitch 0 set r_gamma 1.5 set crouch "+movedown;set crouchtoggle vstr standup" set standup "-movedown;set crouchtoggle vstr crouch" set crouchtoggle "vstr crouch" set demor "vstr demoon" set demoon "autorecord; set demor vstr demooff; echo ^cRecording Demo" set demooff "stoprecord; set demor vstr demoon; echo ^cStopped Recording" set cg_weaponcycledelay “0” Thanks everyone for the replies! I've added some class scripts in my cfg, and they all have smg's. I'm gonna force myself to use smg's more often. I've also added some of the suggested codes to the cfg, which I have to try out still. And I've noted the aim trainer, thanks!
  4. Hej, How can I improve my shooting skills? I usually resort to special weapons like flamethrower or panzer, because my aiming sucks. When using a Thompson or MP40, more often than not I empty an entire clip and end up getting only a few hits. Or I just die before I even get a hit. It's a combination between getting killed all the time / being tired of being called a panzernoob of flame-tard. Also, switching between weapons seems slow. Is there a way to increase the speed? Thanks! raf.
  5. For those interested, Summoning is an Austrian black metal band and draw most of their inspiration from the Tolkien's works (not this song, though)?
  6. Hey, I've been tweaking my cfg, and I came across this wonderful tutorial (among the many wonderful tutorials and sample cfg's here). The shortcuts don't seem to work, however. Following the instructions below, I used this in my script: bind KP_LEFTARROW "vsay_team Incoming ^cEnemies incoming at ^a[l]!" but that's just how it appears on screen, just "enemies incoming at [l]. I tried lower case and upper case. I also tried it without the color code. Other shortcuts don't work either. I only tried it in Beginners #2 (because that's basically the only server I play on). I have seen other players use similar shortcuts there, so I assume it is possible. Can someone help me out? Thanks 🙂 https://fearless-assassins.com/forums/topic/8310-how-to-make-binds-chat-sound-shortcuts-enemy-territory/ On 6/10/2010 at 11:15 AM, -=Medic=- said: IV- Make Binds With Shortcuts: Shortcuts can be used in conjunction with binding keys. it come in ET MODS that use Shrubbot (like jaymod, etpub, nitmod or noquarter) All f|a Server have shortcuts enabled, Shortcuts can be used to make useful or funny customized vsay/say to all players or only to teammates There are others shortcuts that come in new update with different MODS, so you need to check mods site for more, but here we have the most common shortcuts for listed mods above. [A] - Past person who gave you ammo. [D] - Last person who killed you. [H] - Last person who gave you health. [K] - Last person you killed. [L] - Your current location. (Coordenates in where u are) [N] - Your nickname. [R] - Last person who revived you. [P] - Teammate you are pointing at. - Your health (HP). [W] - Weapon you are currently holding. [T] - Ammo u have in current weapon. You can use shortcuts with both form: bind KEY "Say CUSTOMTEXT+SHORTCUTS" bind KEY "Vsay VOICECODE CUSTOMTEXT+SHORTCUTS" Shortcuts can be used in conjunction with binding keys, in Or with CUSTOMTEXT Example: /bind P "vsay_team EnemyDisguised ^1Watch Out Guys!!! All binds can be added from Console or save in your config
  7. I was gonna add "buy a drum set" I've broken many drum skins and sticks in fits of rage though 😕 When I'm sad or angry and play ET, then I try to use a panzefaust, at that moment there's nothing more satisfying than blowing myself to bits and taking someone with me. I'm trying to grow in the sense that I don't want others to "suffer" or be affected by my negative emotions, so that's why I'm trying not to play ET when angry, for example (that's why I also dropped the "friendly" part of my nickname)
  8. Last year, I think. And this one's at least six years old; back when my hair was longer and I still was in a band. 💚🌱
  9. Belgium for now, until September, when I turn 35. Then it's Sweden The flag for Vinland is also used by right winged groups, unfortunately. The flag for Aaland is awesome. Gotta see if I can find them, thanks!
  10. I only have the pictures from the broker; the furniture belongs to the previous owner. The house has its own flag pole, which is great for me since I'm slightly obsessed with flags This is my music corner (the blue, white, green flag is the vegan flag):
  11. I don't really know where to share this, but I wanted to share it somewhere since I'm pretty excited. I bought a house in Sweden (northern Sweden, South-Central Sápmi). Around my birthday, at the end of September, I'm moving I've always been a firm believer of "new chances and new opportunities" and for some reason, I still hope and think that moving so far away might be like a new start or something. Scandinavia has always been in my heart. My fascination with Scandinavia started with a Swedish television series that had something to do with midsummer; later I met a great guy from Finland who I had the honor of calling a friend, he introduced me to so many awesome Scandinavian folkmetal bands; the architecture of Alvar Aalto; the Viking history and Nordic mythology; though I won't lie, Iceland is my number one. Though it is easier to get into Iceland when you're a Scandinavian citizen, so first I'll live in Sweden for five years, after which I can get Swedish citizenship; and then it's off to Iceland. So yeah, I'm not too sad at the moment
  12. My dad was / is a neo-nazi and he tried to raise me as one. The Holocaust was denied at home and Hitler was referred to as "Uncle Dolf". He had records with speeches of Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels and so on, so many books with just one side of the story. As a child, I obviously didn't question my dad and listened to his stories and flipped through his books. And then I got curious and read more, in library books. And I learned about the Holocaust. I saw films, documentaries, read first-hand accounts, ... My relationship with my father hasn't been the same since. Two years ago, I visited Berlin. It's only a short train ride from the city to Sachsenhausen. I had read about concentration camps and the Holocaust for so many years, I thought I knew it all. When I set foot there, I cried. The sheer scale of the thing, both the concentration camp Sachsenhausen (which is small, compared to Auschwitz-Birkenau and others) and of the whole systematic extermination of Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, handicapped people, ... To read about it is one thing; to actually visit it ... holy crap, I cried so hard. In the following year, whenever I told people that I had visited Sachsenhausen, it still brought tears to my eyes. It really is insane. I'd like to add something controversial, but I'll refrain from that. Most people aren't ready to hear it.
  13. Currently sewing face masks, so this helps:
  14. My laptop sucks and I'm far from decent at games. I lack tactical knowledge and I'm usually careful when going into battle (even with an endless supply of lives in a video game; except when I'm using a panzer, then I get my suicidal side on). I do enjoy playing Skyrim, being a huge fan of anything Nordic / Viking / Scandinavian; however, because of all the wild animals that can attack you, I do use cheats to make them friendly, rather than having to kill them (I also use cheats for quests like "collect 10 bear skins"). You might think that's silly (f***ing vegans, amirite...), but I just get very empathetic and get carried away because of more realistic games like Skyrim. Years ago, I played Skyrim and used cheats for everything. I then had the option to adopt an orphan, and even though I couldn't die because of the cheats, I was so careful and even avoided quests that appeared dangerous. I even dreamed of my character having a child to take care of. That was the moment I decided that maybe I needed to take a break from the game 🙂 I still play Skyrim from time to time, though. I also play Northgard, a strategy game set in a Viking-era; very fun and interesting, also very lore-friendly. Baldur's Gate (I & II), Neverwinter Nights (I & II) Euro Truck Simulator 2, because it's fun to not have to accomplish things by killing. Star Trek games, like Birth of the Federation or Elite Force (I & II)
  15. First of all, I've been drinking, so that might explain some errors in my text or whatever. I have tried searching if there was a similar topic, but nothing turned up (which might be the result of the drinking). Do you have body modifications? Tattoos and piercings come to mind, but it can be as crazy as you want. I have 8 piercings (all face: one eyebrow, one lip, two nose, three in one ear, one in the other ear) and 28 (or 19, depending on how you count) tattoos. This one I'm probably most proud of. It hurt like hell. T Got some "moon glyphs" on my fingers (the moon glyphs are like hieroglyphs; created by a Dutch artist for a story he was writing). I count them separately, so I end up with 28 tattoos in total; but if you count all then finger tattoos as one, I end up with 19. (The cats are, sadly, no longer with me. Still alive, thank god, they live with someone else. Due to my depression, I felt that they were better off with someone who could take care of them) Can't post more pictures since there's a size limit. Getting tattoos is addictive, I have plans for so many more And you? Pictures are always welcome
  16. Sangria, store-bought, cheap stuff, fourth glass, trying to drown the worries and sorrows and it's doing a pretty good job Here's to drinking to forget and drinking to numb , but never so much that we'll regret it in the morning
  17. I haven't tried the keto diet myself, and obviously I am biased towards a certain other diet. I have to admit that I know very little about keto. I have read this link: https://www.plantbasednews.org/lifestyle/9-nutritional-studies-keto-diet-fans-have-to-read. Sure, the website itself is plantbased in origin, but the studies referred to are neutral. It is not my intention to criticize your diet or anything; just thought I'd offer this link. What you do with it, is fully up to you. 🙂
  18. Been fascinated by history since I was a little kid. Mainly the Roman Empire and that era; the Viking era (and Norse mythology) and World War Two, but most of European history is what I like to read up on. Sadly, non-Western history isn't taught in schools here, so I know very little about Central and South American history, Asian history, Middle Eastern history or African history. And for some reason, I find it hard to spontaneously read up on that because I feel that I miss so much context and background knowledge. Any gentle (not too sophisticated, not too much text, not too much foreknowledge required) ways into non-Western history are appreciated and welcomed
  19. Just played it earlier today, the sky alone had me in awe. I love that it's easier to get from one gun to another. The extra rooms and bigger rooms in the garrison, and the windows from which to shoot out, are nice! For some reason, I never really liked the Oasis map, but this one, I might just enjoy 🙂
  20. Can't immediately see how to edit, so I'll add a new comment instead; my apologies. I just wanted to add that veganism is a liberation movement. We fight for the rights of animals. Fifty years ago, people who fought for the rights of people of color were ridiculed. Hundred years ago, people who fought for the rights of women were ridiculed. The example of the child being raped might seem harsh, and I apologize if it offends or hurts anyone.
