Hey everyone I was playing on 800 x 600 resolution. I just switched it up by two too like 1024 to something. I cant remember but what resolution do you guys play on. I play cs go on a 4:3 resolution and it works better for me but for et im tryna figure out what a good resolution is.

Usually ppl use their desktop max resolution, other than that looks weird...Imo.

In case you are not familiar how to set it right, add this in a cfg file or type in console or add in startup line of quicklaunch.

set r_displayrefresh 60 <--- if screen can handle more, change to max

set r_mode -1
set r_customheight 1050 <--- change to your desktop max
set r_customwidth 1680 <--- change to your desktop max
set r_fullscreen 1

i have a 1920 x 1080 but i run the game  at 800 x 600 myself  idk why i just think the  max screen  looks weird and hurts my eyes so  i stick to 800 x 600 on must games much easier to see  for me

The native resolution is 1920x1200.
ET I have set 1600x1200, somehow I see better then.

i use a 1920 X 1080. If you have windows 10 you have to go in display settings and change the zoom on apps to 100%. i never noticed windows default is 125% and with the 1920 x 1080 it is all zoomed in. it took me about 3 months to figure it out. there is a whole thread of my trails and tribulations and every solution under the sun in the support section.

Despite having a 16:9 1920x1080 monitor, I play with a 16:10 resolution of 1680x1050. The main reason though is because the vertical field of view is cut down pretty significantly on 16:9.

When I first started playing ET, I used to play 112fov on 4:3, so i've had a hard time adjusting to lower fovs/resolutions. My tracking got so much worse when I made myself transition to widescreen resolutions.

I also find that overall 16:10 just feels like a better middle-ground of the two.

That isn't to say I havent tried 16:9 resolutions for extended periods. I have for months in a row on different occasions but I get a consistent dip in accuracy. feelsbadman

Weirdly enough I know what you mean. 800x600 just feels better for some reason.

Even though my FPS was the same, I felt like I could snap to enemies and track better using 800x600 in comparison to 1024x768. I'm sure it was just in my head at the time, but still.

Whatever makes you most comfortable, go with it mate.
