Format - 

Add Map -> Map name  + URL to download the map - if not in our download section, upload and share URL.
Remove map -> Map name

 

Can provide multiple add/remove maps in same post.

Seems like maybe asking people for their favorite maps and changing rotations may not be the best thing for Jay 2, in my opinion.

It's easy to see that some maps just empty the server. And some fill it.

 

Recently, I've seen an unpopular map with only maybe 2 people on each team plus one or two that sit in spec and a map, specifically that I'VE seen - Deli, Supply, Marrakech, ET Beach, and Italy (I'm sure there are others) where the server will pretty quickly attract people to where it could be from 5 - 7 people per team. It's profound how people just show up. It tells me that people are looking for either maps they like or just what's currently on Jay 2 (and others).

 

Then a less-liked map comes on - Breakout and Warbell that I experienced recently - and the server empties, quickly. 

 

Maybe at this point, we should stop thinking we can make Jay 2 even close to comparable to other servers that are steadily busy b y trying these different approximately 20 map rotations and just run those maps that are proven to attract people, even if it's just a smaller rotation

 i dont disagree . but i would love too see sum input from more regulars. on specific maps they would .like.

 

alot of peeps on jay2 come to play just  a few maps then off they go . an i dont think the 4 week rotation bit work well for jay2.  they just leave it on week one all month.

I will document now since I need to share with mraw as well. Then create a simple tutorial for it. Then either you or mraw or captain can change it up.

Can you please add more maps in your rotation? i.e. at least 20 mapx appx. I will add it to week 6 rotation. Actually, we should change week1 to week5 - To Rotation 1 To Rotation 6 and keep updating below.

Could we try this for a while in this specific order. With minimum 0 players so this whole map rotation will always launch.

Why? Why does Jay 2 need so many maps with so few players when some of the maps in rotation result in players leaving the server? Just to have maps or shouldn't the focus be on maps that keep people playing? Which is less than 20.

I know it was a lifetime ago but my servers never had more than 10-12 maps on them. Jaymod/N!tmod/NQ or ETPro and no one complained.

Never heard of Week 6 but for thew most part, these are solid maps. Some stand out as questionable, like Capuzzo - which I think is WAY too big for Jay 2 and requires more players to make it fun -, but it's in the right direction, IMO.

i kinda agree with hipkat here .. i have been chatting with regulars and admins. and my conclusion is less maps less bawts. 

 

sum of the admins are @Gameplan @N!COT!N3...

 

 an im lost on this 125 maps to go thru   i think 20 would be alot easier. too maintain.

Omni's less are not helpful - You have 'hardcore' for it and that's practically dead..  ETL infact we increased a bit. If people don't have anything to shoot, no one is going to hang around. 

 

I took Unknown's base rotation and removed - battery which was duplicate and added braun, venice_ne4 instead of venice.. and fa temple instead of temple.. New rotation in place. Share the feedback on how it goes.

I think Goldrush GA is better but the OG seems to be more fair to Axis

i simply love just about any GR map is my fav in et. but yes the version on server does seem to be more fair all around. my fav is stopwatch version. but that doesnt fair well on jay2.

 

whats your fav map hipkat.

 

id love to see purefrag on jay2 again also.

@Buckwild - do we have waypoints for this or u created one? I really thought omnibot team should have handled default oasis issue... but it seems as per captain, it's not.
