He hasn't logged in here in over two years. 

I've asked here and there in the server, but never got an answer.

He had told us that he was moving and then that his new landlady had died.  That was the last post that we had received from him.

 

I sent him an email a year ago but never heard back.  

 

I don't want to speculate.   

 

(I am breaking protocol in saying that as it was in the private forums and we don't normally share private clan posts in public.)

 

 

We have had so many clan members and regulars "disappear" over the years that I had my brother make an account so that he can inform the people here if something happens to me.  I don't want to leave a mystery behind.

 

Clan members that we know have died are in the forum group, "Fallen Heros".

I think about that, if something happens to me, who will tell all the places I have a presence what happened to me

Yes, it is not like we all meet at regularly scheduled work- or school-times.  

 

Sometimes, I only realize that someone is absent is when I see their names in an old condump! ?

Share your FB with trusted folks and news will spread if something goes south. My friend in ET passed away suddenly and luckily because of FB, I got the news. Post I took the measure and shared server access with =F|A= team, so anything happens to me @Scarface gets technical part. Billing I need to figure out and hand over as well. 

 

I have missed lot of folks in last 20 years and to my surprise @Demir just pinged few weeks back.  I also got chance to meet @Avaa on COD MW2 last year or so when I played few times. Some old ET folks like @blackhawk, [FAG], .bb., =BEL=, etc... they are lost in time. 

 

@HipKat I tell you: We are sentiment kind of folks.... Any of us who are around keep missing their friends and hence come back.  ET is just not a game for us but a home.

 

This year, my work life balance is screwed and probably will never become normal. I got roped in corporate politics.  

 

@tipsy You were close with Buckwild. Can you email him to check if he is doing all right? Thanks

 

Speaking of folks @JoeDirt bailed on us as well. Fk'r didn't show up in years and never responds to any of emails, text messages, etc.

Yeah, I get grouchy like an old man, but I live in my memories of people I've made c lose friends with. From Apple in the Earliest days and MarkIV, all my ETPro friends - all of them gone when ICQ died, RIP
I make a joke all the time on the server - SAME people, every night, every single night for years.... what kinda losers are we with nothing better to do, but even though sometimes I wonder if I have a single friend in ET anymore (Til my old mate @VanillA came back this week), we're like a club. The Jay 1 club.

 

Anyway, Bucky was a good ET friend and from the same place as me and the same age, so he'd be in his 60's now, too

Joe was never a bully but less tolerant to BS. At times when you deal with same issue over and over, you just get bored and irritated after sometime. One of the reasons, I often take break, keeps my mental health in balance.

If you haven't shared your personal #, FB, etc. with them - then I would say not true friends. Most of my close friends have my telegram ID (The ones that don't judge, listen and advice when required. We also talk besides gaming).

 

Discord i hardly use. May be I will install back once i upgrade my phone.

For me, my 17 yr old daughter who was just indirectly - or maybe directly - involved in stealing a race car. That kid is killing me

Personally for me there is a handful of members who have my phone number. 
 

as DD said many of us are more friendly than it appears and really do want to be here for one another. 
 

On that note. Yes install discord. I don’t like the long seared replies from you @daredevil ? 

 

if anything happened to me there’s a group

of people my wife knows to get ahold of. 
 

our tags are FA but imo it’s short for FAmily
