Game integrity error #20006

Hey guys,

 

Recently I've been trying to join a public ETpro server (Fa's server I can succefully connect), but getting error that pb kicked me for 2 min by Game Integrity error #20006.

 

Any way to fix it?

Try running pbsrv.exe mate as that will install PB correctly, i think its an anti cheat not working error, FA doesn't use PB but some servers still have it active so you will get kicks or disconnects for it.

Usually a game integrity error is from an outdated PB or problem related to PB (out of date, not responding, corrupt file, etc...)

 

But sometimes a simple pc restart fix the issue

pbsrv literally installs/reinstalls punk buster mate and makes sure it is working as it should be. Once installed if you run pbsrv again you can click on test services and it will tell you if everything is working properly or not.

 

You will just have to stick with playing FA servers if you cant connect to others.

Question, when your ET is running, do you see PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe processes in the task manager?

I remember a few years ago I had to explicitly allow these processes to run.

 

edit: I think it was something with windows firewall

Do you have DD's new ET.exe or the original 2.6b?

Try running the etkey.org pb script http://etkey.org/pages/punkbuster.php

 

I remember there is an updater it installs the last files

DD's version.

 

@Broham - they used to be in past.. now it isnt show in process section.

Problem is FA's ETpro are empty 😕

Besides, it says the test went without problems, but showed my STOPPED around pbA and pbB

Weird, I dont remember installing punkbuster on my current OS (upgraded to win10 a few months ago), but I have both punkbuster processes running in task manager.

 

1. Can you run "services.msc", and see if both pbA and pbB are set to start automatically?

2. Also can you try allowing both punkbuster processes in your firewall? (If you're using windows, it comes with a built-in firewall)

 

3. (Optional) Can you pm me the server you're trying to connect to, so I can try if it works for me?

Use the ETPRO.exe  That should work for you.

Also pba and b should both show as stopped, as long as pbsrv says everything fine then it is.

I just did a test and was able to connect to all 3 FA ETpro's, 1,2,3,  from the FA-menu okay.  #3 had a little delay when joining and I did a /connect sw3.clan-fa.com and it connected right away.

 

I am running ET 2.6b on Win10 pro on a system built 8 years ago.  I still have PB running. 

 

I recently turned off the WinXP SP3 compatibility mode and it works okay.

 

I have "Run as admin" set on both ET.exe and the shortcut to it.

 

ADDED:  Oops!  I had not clearly read the " ... public ETpro server (Fa's server I can succefully connect) " part of the post!  Oh, well, a test of the FA servers did no harm.
