Windows Need new PC and some tips

I'd stay away from the Intel tax (unless you need faster AVX execution) with all of these exploits coming out... but that's just me.

Between those two systems, I'd choose the Desktop. I avoid MSI like the plague. They use crappy FETs on their CPU power delivery.
The desktop's mobo is solid AF, plenty of RAM, and you can't go wrong with a 2070. Looks like it comes with a liquid cooler as well.

Special thanks to @Mufasa for putting up with my lunatic mindset for parts and noobness (resulting from forgetting everything i learned while back) ... looks like age is catching up on me.

I finally got desktop rolling -

Case: Meshify S2

CPU: AMD 3800x

MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX X570 E

GPU: NVDIA MSI Gaming Z 2060

PSU: EVGA 850W P2

RAM: Gskil 32GB RAM

Hard drives - 6 (all existing and old ones) Finally time to use 5 year old hard drive! Fk yeah!

Mouse old - G502 and G5

Monitor: 8 year old and 2nd one is on the way.

OS: Ubuntu, Windows server 2019 and Windows 10 Pro.

Some fans and monitor and KB is in shipping state. I got temp blue mechanical KB which makes sound like machine gun! So can't wait for my brown one.

Slowly, I will pick on some pending work. Just burned out with office work but getting stabilized slowly. Will share my noob PC build pics later.

Desktop needs more voltaic energy than laptop. For gaming and working I would prefer laptops. For storage desktops.

Razor blades are expensive but hardware beasts in notebooks....

Ah, nice build, thought you were looking for a “buy it now” option.  Good call.  Now you and @Professor Tony have new rigs.  Time to own!

That was the plan but mufasa helped me putting it out together. I was frustrated using wife laptop cos she gets pissed and i get the beating.. but can't do much on that! Now she is happy camper and I am as well but not my credit card. :(
