When you open as admin do you mean either of the following: 1) Right click on et.exe shortcut and click "Run as Administrator" or 2) Right click on et.exe shortcut and click on Properties > Compatibility > check "Run this program as administrator" > Apply It is recommended you do the second option. But as @captnconcrete mentioned, it is recommended to screenshot the exact error message.

Haha I was trying to reproduce it before @MikeSlayer replied but it is indeed true @Dink the Clown I tried reproducing with a fresh enemy territory installation (I also use 2.60b) and it indeed show the error. To resolve it permanently, you have to do /pb_cl_enable in console and it will show it is starting up punkbuster service. After that it will work fine. If you prefer a workaround to ensure the punkbuster service will always be enabled, you can use the same method I showed in a previous topic: I assume you are using Windows and not using etlegacy. If so can you go to your et shortcut and post fix this to your target path +pb_cl_enable . This is just a non elegant workaround to your issue so it will enable punkbuster service using pb_cl_enable each time you launch the application. You can place the cvars anywhere in server config but most likely the cvars already exist in server config so to prevent overwrite you should search for it and replace the cvar variables accordingly. You can read the Jaymod Documentation on XPSave. The server config you should change is the one in jaymod folder.

I assume you are trying to do it server side as if it is client side like the cvars you mentioned are usually forced so changing it would not help. You can try mapscripting. I believe the variables you require are: setglobalfog 0 <duration> <float:r> <float:g> <float:b> <float:depthForOpaque> Changes the global fog in a map to a specific color and density. setglobalfog 1 <duration> Changes the global fog in a map.

Did he have an etkey in his etmain folder? Even if his server is set up properly, if he does not have an etkey in his etmain folder, it would not work. If he does have etkey and it still does not work, it would be good if you attach the server.cfg to your post but please remember to remove any sensitive information like rcon password, ref password, shoutcast password as well as the server name (to avoid advertising) etc. This way, other members and I can take a look at it.

Yeah it is coded in the mod so customisation is only limited to what is coded. I guess your only choice is to use other mods like ETLegacy etc. Unless Jaybird, the developer of Jaymod, decides to work on Jaymod again which is unlikely.

So you want converts ops with no weapons since you want to disable all the weapons covert ops has except pistol? Based on your idea, most likely jaymod is unable to do what you desire. If you require such features it must be coded in the mod. The only closest cvars are what the other users have already mentioned. If you really want to follow your idea, jaymod is most likely not possible as its development has stopped for many years and the source code is not publicly released. Unless you used other means to somehow edit the code else your idea is not possible with Jaymod. ETLegacy is different as it is being actively developed and it does not necessary means features that are available there are available in other mods. Based on my observations from your other topics, it is likely you want to enable pistolwar which is not available in the default jaymod cvar or list of commands. You can try other mods like NoQuarter (look at nq_war cvar and some other cvars to tweak to close to the settings you desire) or just use ETLegacy. An alternative if you still want to use jaymod and pistolwar, is to use enhanced mod (addon to jaymod), the website which used to host enhanced mod seems to be down and development has stopped.
