Chuckun
I'm no config expert, but I guess the first question will be - what are you trying to achieve that you need help with?

MosesIsComingLookBusy
well there is different ways you can go. do you want it to look good with snow, rain and all that stuff OR do you want to make it easier to see enemies, getting kills ? with ET, you can strip the game naked to make it easier to see where enemies are (get rid of weather, sun, some grass, smoke from tanks and arty, explosions) - this will also give you better fps, just remember to have r_primitives set to 2 with what you got, you will easily get stead 125 fps at any time, any place. Sonofdoc
I get constant 125 FPS. I also play on the highest settings, it looks very good.
Platinum VIP -=HipKat=- Posted January 28, 2018 Author Platinum VIP Share Posted January 28, 2018 That stuff I already have set, it's fairly stripped down. Mostly I'm looking for using the 16Gb of Ram, processing power, FPS - although I get 125 steady now, etc

Not with Nvidia. You want /r_primitives set to 0. Make sure "Threaded Optimization" is turned off in the "ET.exe" profile in the Nvidia control panel as well. Basic run down on /r_primitives setting (generally speaking): nvidia - primitives set to 0 (automatic) (There have been cases of driver issues past version 347.25 that requires value set to 2) intel - primitives set to 1 AMD - primitives set to 2 r_primitives values: -1 = skips drawing 0 = uses glDrawelements if compiled vertex arrays are present, or strips of glArrayElement if not. 1 = force strips 2 = force drawElements Edited January 28, 2018 by Xernicus
Mufasa
b_ cvars are useless in jaymod, so you could remove those from HKJM b_fireTeamLatchedClass "1" in the ETPro config - it'll show in fireteam when your teammates are switching class, that way you don't have multiple people switching to covert ops for example. remove r_lastValidRenderer "GeForce 9800 GS/PCI/SSE2", that doesn't do anything and isn't accurate anymore r_customWidth "1920" r_customHeight "1080" r_displayRefresh "0" other than that, there are a lot of useless cvars that are cluttering things up and probably aren't ideal, but I guess you don't want to go through them one by one. if you care to, http://antman.info/wolf/cvar/ is a great resource for that. I never knew that about b_cvars in JM, thanks! I used Antman to make most of my CFg, but haven't looked back on it in years, and just made manual tweaks since then. Actually, I do want to know the useless ones, so I can scale down my CFG more. 17.7KB is almost to the max I'd ever want Edited January 28, 2018 by -=HipKat=-

Mufasa
I'm no expert, but off the top of my head... Break up your config into multiple files: a separate config for each script, a separate config for binds, a separate config with ETPro settings, and a separate config with your main settings. Then create an autoexec.cfg that execs all of those. Remove the "com_maxFPS 125; m_pitch 0.017" from all the places you have it - from what I can tell, none of your other scripts change it, so there's no need to set it each time you change weapons Since you have a powerful computer with plenty of space, you could get rid of your demo script and instead use cg_autoAction "7" I went through quickly and looked at the Jaymod config, but I'm sure there's more that I'm just not knowledgeable enough to tell you are bullshit. If you care to go through them all, Google is your best resource. seta pb_sv_guidauth 0 // this belongs in a server config bind p "" // this doesn't do anything bind F5 "vstr autoaction" // there is no autoaction script for it to change seta s_khz "60" // I believe 44 is the max seta s_doppler "0" // why wouldn't you want 1? seta r_picmip2 "3" // doesn't exist in ET seta r_lastValidRenderer "GeForce 9800 GS/PCI/SSE2" // as previously mentioned seta r_dynamiclights "0" // is written twice, right next to each other seta statistics1 "+topshots;+stats" // nothing bound to toggle this seta statistics2 "-stats;-topshots" // nothing bound to toggle this seta timelimit "8" // is a server command seta sex "male" // doesn't do anything afaik seta refereePassword "none" // unnecessary seta mv_sensitivity "20" // multiview is etpro only & is disabled everywhere anyway seta map "vstr mapout" // nothing bound to toggle it seta mapin "-mapexpand; seta map vstr mapout" // nothing bound to toggle it seta mapout "+mapexpand; seta map vstr mapin" // nothing bound to toggle it seta model "multi" // nothing bound to toggle it seta joy_threshold "0.15" // do you use a joystick? seta head "default" // is nothing seta fraglimit "0" // is a server command seta handicap "100" // is a quake command seta dmflags "0" // is a quake server command seta developer "0" // is a CoD command I think unbind F12 // uhhh seta com_watchdog "60" // belongs in server config seta com_watchdog_cmd "" // belongs in server config seta com_blindlyLoadDLLS "1" // doesn't exist in ET seta cl_125hz "0" // I think this is quakelive seta cl_packetdup "0" // I'd recommend 1 or 2 Edited January 28, 2018 by TURNTLE
