2018 has been interesting so far, so I thought we could play a little game where we share some experiences and get to know each other in the process.

If you haven't heard of it yet, "Two truths and a lie" is pretty self-explanatory. You tell two truths (could be two things about you, or things that have happened) and ofc, one lie. People take turns guessing what the lie is- hopefully this will be fun.

Alright, so I'll get started:

  1. I lost my paycheck after getting drunk at a casino
  2. I got pissed off at a slow computer and tossed it out a window
  3. I woke up to a SWAT team in my yard

Take a guess of which of these experiences is a lie!

Alright, so looks like Basalisk is the winner for mine. :D

It was *super* close to being the truth, but I actually came around last minute (last roll on slots I went all in, figuring nothing to lose... and I won big).

For Basalisk... this is tough. He said #2 is a truth... so I'm going to say that #1 is a lie. (Aren't there usually plexiglass barriers around dangerous animals?)

For Drogter... I'm gonna have to guess #1 is the lie.

For Cheep... everything's off the rails. Uhm... #1. There's nothing to invade except people's minds :P

The SWAT team was no joke... this actually happened last Friday. Heard some people come in my gate, and heard someone say "There's someone inside"... right outside my bedroom. I get up super quick, look out the window, and see nothing... shrug it off, thinking I was hearing things, so I decide to start some coffee. Out of the corner of my eye, I see two big ass guys walking through my *locked* side gate to the backyard. So I bust over to the back door, about ready to tell them to GTFO and I'm met with an entire geared up SWAT team with assault and sniper rifles. Turns out, they were surrounding my neighbor's house for a high risk warrant. And damn, did he barricade himself in that place. With the amount of shots and smoke grenades fired, I'm surprised my windows didn't shatter.

Beh? Ok, uh..

@Cheep 1 is a lie. Regardless of your spoiler o.O

Not much crazy things happen in my life. Guess I'm boring.

1. My sister-in-law tells me she's pregnant before telling my brother

2. In a strip of about 4 km on my mountainbike, I had to make 19 emergency breaks of which 19 by the Belgian driver's mistake

3. I'm in love

Ouch... I hate to say this, but I'm gonna have to go with #3. Pregnancy is a huge deal for a woman, and I could imagine that anyone (man or woman) with extreme hormonal swings would want to vent to feel more comfortable before delivering any huge news.

As for bicyclists being terrorized by drivers... most drivers are idiots, and barely pass the test. My cousin passed within 1% of failure. I'm pissed they're on the road.

Didn't want to make it too easy, but indeed, it's 3 :P Don't tell my brother though ._.

Belgians trying to kill me everywhere I go is just the confirmation of a little joke we have about the Belgians in the Netherlands. We always proclaim they cannot drive, "because they're Belgians". Ask any dutchman and they'll all confirm that belgians are just about the worst drivers on Earth (sorry Sisje & Platonic :D). In my short time in Leuven so far that assumption has proven to be spot on.

We have the same thing here in the States, and there's even a similar attitude in Japan. Cars/Motorbikes should go as fast as they can, and bicyclists should stay on the sidewalks and be damned.

I've lived in the States for most of my life, I can tell you that I get pissed (as a motorist and bicyclist) at certain out-of-state drivers that either are going super f**king slow or are blazing their way through, weaving through traffic, and cutting off everyone else.

Here in Washington, the general unspoken rule for highways is that the speed limit is the minimum- so 70mph (112kmh). Most everyone goes around 80mph, or 130kmh. Bicyclists are not allowed on such motorways to keep them safe. But in the cities, folks in cars and motorbikes still terrorize those on bicycles. I've dealt with it quite often.

Congratulations on getting a new nephew or niece, and best of luck to your sister-in-law! And may you find love soon- It's well worth the wait.

That's the whole point. I could only think of truths myself. You have to think of something that does not go for you for the game to work- you wouldn't be telling a lie or be using a lie you've told in the past :)
