Why just why we cant kick Yeo already? one win from last 10 game, 3 from last 15+, same happen every daam year. After we lost fourth row last time, Yeo say that he dont know why we lose, he dont know how to fix it. What?? and we still keep that coach (that was 8 game ago). First he say we lose because we allowe first goal, then we start make that first goal and lose like 3-4 for row anyway, and Yeo say we lose it because we cant make that second goal, we lose because we are not leading by two goal, in last game we lead by two goal and lost anyway. LoL, now he might say that we should make that third leading goal to win games. This guy is just embarrassing. Kick him already, take Carlyle. He is great coach!

Need from Trade Deadline:

 

Team biggest need is to make defenders group better, they looking top 3 defender to group, maybe even top 2 defender, for that they have to pay big price also, but team can do it. Shattenkirk, Bufyglien, Hamhuis, Wideman, Russell, Yandle, Dumba, Vatanen, Lindholm are names where Tampa try find good price deal for team.

 

Players who can be available for Trade:

 

To get that big D to group they have to make room in salary cap also and they might trade some to make more room, but there has been a lot talk on Drouin ofc and Stamkos also, they are team who can trade Stamkos and still can have better offesive group than most of NHL team have. Players which they might use in trades are: Carle, Coburn, Garrison, Killorn, Marchessault, Drouin and Stamkos.

In my earlie season prediction i waited that Vasilevsky give little bit bigger challange to Bishop and would start in Playoffs, but Bishop has played great season and might be finalist of Vezina trophy. I still think that they will keep Vasilevsky in group even that he have already big value in trade markets. Team have seen huge production problems, but its mainly because they last season first-line forwards Palat and Johnson has deal a lot different injuries. Team lost almost whole first line for first half of season and now when they are back in the group you can wait better Tampa, but its always take at least 10-15 games to players fully get they production/game back after injuries and Johnson still deal some of injuries. Team defence group has been problems to product too, well known good offesive defenders Garrison, Coburn, and Carle has been in huge problems and Carle havent got any point in 36 played game. Also team big leader Callahan has played under his skills.

Need from Trade Deadline:

 

Team followed Mike Babcock style from Detroit and they will bring they big talents slowly to NHL and use them in AHL first. That style worked well in Detroit and probably will work in Toronto too, team have several young talents coming in the group, like Nylander, Kapanen and Marner which all can be key pieces in future rosters, so they probably looking draft picks or young talents from trade deadline, ofc defence group need fixes most, but team probably try to fix those in summer, but couple possible young talent what they could add in group are, Vatanen, Dumba, Drouin, Ennis, Lindholm, Oleksiak or Hoffman.

 

Players who can be available for Trade:

 

There has been a lot rumors and talk about Leksa Komarov, i think it would be super stupid move if they trade him, no matter which player, Komarov is player which is huge leader and example to young players, super liked in locker room and eyes of fans, he have small salary hit 2,95 and he has shown that he can play bigger role also, he is very good third line player which can be use in penalty kill and he can play in first and second line also. He has been team MVP, which young players respect. Team should not trade him in any price. Players which team are probably ready to use in trades are: Bernier, Gardiner, Polak, Boyes, Bozak, Grabner, Holland, Kadri, Lupul, Matthias, Parenteau, and Spaling

 

Couple key words:

 

In my mind team havent play badly. I think team will be in playoffs next year (2016-2017) and in 2018-2019 they can even baddly on Stanley if they build team correcly, there is couple player which can be keep from current NHL roster, like Komarov, Reilly, Reimer and Bozak and team have couple big talents coming to group. Team could try to look big number one goalie in next summer (depent how Reimer play rest of season), couple big defender, and more wide to winger group, team had hard time to make goals lately and that is mostly because team have a lot good thirdline players but they are lack of first line star players now when van Riemsdyk has been injured. Center spot looking good when team have Nylander and Marner coming in that spot. Now most important thing is to not panick, not make stupid overpayed free agent signations or trade good future leaders or promising players, and they GM Lamoriello has build Stanley winning teams before so for him we can see that patiance what has been team biggest weak point in last 10+ years and biggest reason why we have seen Toronto in playoffs only once(in last 10 season).

I keeped my NHL Wild Lion manager game updated, last 10 game stretch was hard, i got only couple points, even that my goalies allowed only little bit over 2 goal per game in that 10 game period, Calgary and Minnesota didnt make a lot goals so my goalies lost a lot games.

 

I have only 50 point, even that my team have made 146 goal (eight most in NHL) and allowed only 121 goal (fifth fewest) and my goal difference is NHL fifth best (26). In my team allowed goals dont count empty nets goals, only goals what my goalies allowed.

 

I have think a lot about adding Sasha Barkov (FLA) to my team, he make so beautiful goals and he have one of best hands what i has seen, plus he play very well in two-way what i always like on players, but his next year salary hit will be huge, so i wait to summer and decide if i keep, Vanek or/and Parise, or Swap one of those to Barkov. Ristolainen has played well in Buffalo too, and Dumba is guy who i am ready to use in trades, but Ristolainen probably get big contract too for next season and i started miss Demers (Dallas) back to my roster and a lot. Will probably wait to summer with him also to see if his new salary fit in my salary cap, but could trade Dumba to Demers in trade deadline i have about 1,6 milj room in salary cap and Demers current hit would be little bit over 1.0 milj (overal hit 3,4, but no need to pay whole hit when trade has made in middle of season) so there would be room, but i fear that i might lose him again if he make big contract in next summer.

Okposo has been on rumos to Wild. I am more than ready to take him to Minnesota. He is great and very underrated player. It even can be possible trade when Okposo is from Minnesota and Fletcher has bring former Minnesota (college) players to Minnesota and added/traded many Minnesota born player to team also, i havent count but its feel like at least 60% of players have somekind connection to Minnesota (college or born or rased in Minnesota).

Team key players start to come in veteran age, Sedin's are 35 and Edler 29 and Miller 35. So team are in edge of rebuild, problem is that there is not those big talents in group/organisation, so they need to start rebuild from trades, team biggest need is to fix defence group, Sedins still can give good play for next 3+ year and for forwards there is not so big rush even that its badly need wide also. For Defence group names like Yandle, Bufyglien, Vatanen, Dumba, Lindholm, J. Schultz, Honka, Demers and Gardiner is names which interest team. For forwards, Drouin, Ennis, Böedker, Johansson, Okposo and Kreider team would be probably ready to add in team.

 

Players who can be available for Trade

 

Team might get some of talents for using current players in trades, but if they would like to get big talents they might have to add Sedins in trades, and that will not happen in this year, but might happen in next year trade deadline. There is not a lot players who have huge value in trade deadline, so they have to choose if they trades players to draft pick or add draft pick themselves to get some talent in they group, names which can be seen in trades are: Miller, Bartowski, Hamhuis, Sbisa, Y. Weber, Burrows, Cracknell, Dorsett, Hansen, Prust, Vey, and Vrabata.

 

Couple key words:

 

In my earlie season prediction i did predict that Markström would overtake Miller in goal and would take starter job and then Vancouver could use Miller in trades, so i did miss some prediction with goalies like Vasilevsky in TB, but look like i got some in right too like this Vancouver and Anaheim. Ofc Vancouver still give a lot games to Miller, but because that way team can keep Miller value high for future trades, but Markström has played better and made finally that breakthrough in NHL level. From first 40 game Horvat got only 11 point what was huge disappoinment to him and for team and fans, when all remember how team gave Cory Schneider to get him. U cant blame Horvat for that, but i think it would be impossible to him ever to be as important to his team than Cory Schneider is to New Jersey. But Horvat and other young talents Virtanen and McCann can still better they game and a lot and team have to make decision if they trust that Virtanen, McCann, Horvat can be they second line in next season or make couple trades/signations in summer.

Team dont have huge need, but place where they could be little bit better is defence group, Carlson is great defender who can win Norris someday, but there is a lot teams who have better second defender than Washington's Niskanen or better second pair than what Washington have, ofc Orpik has been out most of season, but they could looking veteran touch in defence group, but they dont want lose any parts from offense, so Yandle which they probably most want is too pricy to them, but defenders like Bufyglien, Hamhuis, Coburn, Quincey, Polak, M. Weber, Lovejoy, K. Miller could be available for good price.

 

Players who can be available for Trade:

 

Team might give one talent from offesive depent of how big is need to get bigger D man to group, but team probably go with current forward group, but if they want give some talent Burakovsky can be name which can give a lot back. Other name which dont have so much value, but what they might use in trades are: Chorney, Laich and Sill. They migh use Johansson in trade too when he play last year of his contract, but he is coming RFA so i think team will keep him.

 

Couple key words:

 

Team has been one of best teams in NHL in first half of season, Holtby has been best goalie (in first half), and Coach Trotz has bring his defense style game from Nashville, but allowed forwards to play offensive play too, Trotz never had this kind roster in Nashville what he have now in Washington and Trotz is one of best coaches in NHL, so team can go long with him in playoffs, they get production from two very good and solid line, they third line is good in both ways. Carlson is too lonely sometimes, but team have promissing D-group. Can go long in Stanley race and first half favorite for Cup for many reporters.

Team need more help in the defence group, Enström former 50 point man has now done about 20+/- points per season and changed his style more to defence style, Trouba havent been able to take offisive responsibilitys yet, so they are need of 1-2 defender maybe even 3 defender. Possible names are, Yandle, Wideman, Hamhuis, Coburn, J. Schultz, Liles, Vatanen, R. Murphy, Lindholm and Dumba. Team might try get more wide to offesive group, but there is couple young player which can increase they production coming years also, so offesive trade is not so need as D-man trade.

 

Players who can be available for Trade:

 

Team try keep Bufyglien and Ladd, but havent been able to re-sign them yet (when i write this), so both Ladd and Bufyglien can be seen in different team after trade deadline and those two have huge value in trade deadline and if both is added in same trade we can see huge trade where is moving big name(s) to Winnipeg also. Other player who might see trade are: Pavelec or Hutchinson, Clitsome, Pardy, Trouba and Halischuk.

 

Couple key words:

 

Hellebuyck raise goalie rating from 6 (what i would give without Hellebuyck) to 7,5. Hellebuyck has played well, he was a lot hyped goalie talent who did play great season in AHL last year and who was best goalie of World Championship tournament also in last year and now he has taken his spot in Winnipeg goal, he is my finalist of first half Calder race and can even win it if he lead Winnipeg to playoffs, ofc it can been too much to asked from rookie, when team has so poor defence group. Many has waited a lot more from super talented Trouba, but i didnt put him to biggest underachiever, because he is so young and are not long away from pace what he has kept in last couple years, many waited that he would take that next step to leading defender in this year, but with defender its take longer to come key player than from forwards. As i say (in early season prediction) team have one of biggest talents stock and some of those talents has made NHL deput in this year (Hellebuyck, Ehlers and Petan) and some not yet (example Josh Morrissey), and from all of those we can wait a lot bigger production and role in future years, what make building next year(s) team a lot easier to GM.

Only worse choise to Wild is Brunette. LoL. strange dream, but maybe that mean that Yeo will get kicked after Dallas game.

I think the problem with Phaneuf (beside his salary cap) is that Toronto made him a #1 defenseman, which he is not. He's a 2nd pair defenseman.

 

I believe behind Karlsson he will be better, he wont have the pressure to be the best D on the team.

in all fairness, he will be better elsewhere no question. he couldn't really handle the media and the pressure here. he was thrown into the captain role and given that huge contract that left most leaf fans shaking their heads.

 

he deserves a new start anyway.
