Chuckun Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Bud is water with HUUUUGE bubbles in it that just make you burp instead of drink moar. Fosters is water with FOAM in it that just make you wanna spew instead of drink moar. ALES are the way forward.. Anything below 5%vol (10%proof) is a waste of time with Ales IMO, and IPAs are particularly good as long as they're 5%+ vol. Here are some of my faves: Old Empire (IPA - 5.7% vol - Marston's brewery) Bishops Finger (Dark Ale - 5.4% vol - Shepherd's Neame brewery) McEwans Champion Ale (V.Dark Ale - 7.3% vol - McEwans obviously) ESB (Dark Ale - around 5.6% vol? - Fullers brewery) 1845 (Dark ale - 6.3% vol - Fullers brewery) I'm salivating just writing those names! xD Edited February 1, 2014 by Chuckun 1 Quote

MaKy Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 My new fav topic. Just went and grabbed a six pack of these. Been getting them quite often lately. Certainly not my fav Beer but sometimes you just got to go for quantity. 500ml Quote
MaKy Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Trying Sierra Navada Pale Ale. 5.6% It's quite delicious. Quote
Xernicus Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 That stuff is rather good. I'm enjoying a bottle of Pyramid Outburst, an India Pale Ale. It's 8.5% and has a nice deep, rich flavor. I can definitely taste the hops, with a slightly sweet and buttery aftertaste. Quote
