Arty on Jay2

Can we increase Arty on Jay2? Currently arty is horrible on Jay2 that you have to wait minutes to use it again not to mention some people use it at the worst place where we desperately need it at the objective. It gets annoying to be an FOP and all you hear when you try to arty is that it's unavailable. Thanks :)

Increasing arty on Jay2 while its already so much spam would make it even more unplayable, not even mentioning all those rifles, panzas and flamers out there, not even pointing out adre junking running all the around the map. The arty at the moment is way more than enough, there are other strategic ways to keep the obj secured, such as mines, camps and list goes on, by increasing arty u would just cause server to lag even more than it is now and make even more spamming than it already is.

I dont have any lag on this newer jay2. and adre junkies are apart of the server.

I have to agree with Mccloud I don't get any lag on the new jay2 and my ping is always 120 but arty is needed and there is really no point to be an FOP if you can't even call arty or air strikes. I understand that people may say that air strikes will be abused but knives are abused daily yet they are still on the server. We need to give FOPs a bit of a buff don't you think?

as stated above by mccloud adren is part of the game and so our knives thats just something you need to learn to deal with arty is one of those things that will lag a server if its too often imo and then it wont be fun for anyone

I noticed that the possibility to use arty in certain time is increased in jay1 and decreased in jay2. My guess would be that with players base somewhat reversed the arty would do clean work per map and in server population. Would be pointless to spam all spawn exits all the time with arty with just 12 players in server. Also if theres 1 good FO for arty\airstrike and 1 to give out ammo it can be played just fine. The thing is new players don´t know that when you spam every second airstrike the turn for next arty would never come. And if those new FO were 3-4 per team....

I'm not complaining about the knives I was just giving an example if someone would say that it would be abusive same with adren :P

That's weird, I've been playing ET for years and arty never seemed to lag the server even when I had my old gateway computer I didn't get any lag. I'm not asking for a huge increase in arty maybe the cooldown to be reduced by atleast a minute or two as it does take a while to call an airstrike once another one has been called.

If you can't call arty you should blame your team mates for wasting it.

 

It's a bit like on etpro servers where only 1 player can have rifle and maybe he is bad, and everyone who is better than him wants the rifle, but what if the riflenoob doesn't want to give it? Allowing 1000 rnades won't solve the problem, it would just make the server spammy. Same with arty.

I have the impression that availability of arty is affected by the total fops resources expended, that is, if other fops toss too much ammo, the time between possible arty/air is increased for all fops. A non-tossing fop can't arty as much as if he were alone and not tossing, I do believe.

Just do what I do and find someplace to hide and hold down left click with your binos out and just wait til its available. Eventually your "firing for effect" will finally get called.

And please don't touch the knives, it's all a part of the game so suck it up lol.
