Favorite type of beer?

I have tasted in Germany a great beer called Franziskaner or something like that. Blonde, fresh and light beer. Never tasted one like it since then.

Paulander is another beer that you would likely enjoy.

Chimay, Trader Joes Vintage Ale (made my Unibroue), Stone IPA, Blue Moon, Keller, Guiness stout (not draught), Youngs Chocolate Stout (in a nitrogen compressed can), Samuel Adams Winter Ale, Sam Adams Infinium (Very different, not for everyone), Deschutes Black Butte Porter and a few others are some of my favorites depending on my mood and meal. Been wanting to try Yuengling but I haven't found a distributor on the west coast able to get it.

Ah man, I forgot schneider-weisse. Thats also another great german hef. If you enjoy that, you'd likely enjoy the hef's made by Franziskaner

and Paulander. Off the top of my head, Ayinger Brau-wiesse is another german hef you would like, although it's not a personal favorite. Look around...there are tons of great brews out on the market.

I'll attest to the awesomeness of Fat Tire. Recently I went to a brew festival that New Belgium had a booth at. They had the Ranger IPA on tap. It tasted like someone dropped juniper in the brewing vat. It was the worst beer there out of 50+ vendors. It was a total shame. Hopefully they come up with some new seasonal beers that will wash that memory away.
