Bacon... How can a human being say they have lived if they have never had a bacon/cheese sandwich...

As for the moral implications, yes, industrialized slaughter houses and large industrialized farms CAN be run in improperly and many of them are. But the suggestion that all of them are bad is just another generalization waiting to be proven wrong. My extended family is about 60% farmers, all of my uncles and aunts were born on a farm though. They love animals to the point where my grandpa recognized that cows can have friends years before there was an actual study on it. But every year they take 2 cows to the butcher and give the meat to the family. (They primarily breed heifers if I remember correctly but also dabble in poultry some years and have a very large, diversified, cash crops)

Some may find that last point about them loving animals and eating them too to be hypocritical, but it depends on the perception you hold towards the subject and your world view. That lines between a basic life-form and sentient one is a blurry one that will have its definition changed in the future, many times.

I look at Monsanto (or whatever the hell it is now) having considerable control on the market of GMO cash crops as a much more serious issue personally.

Chicken, beef, fish meat, human meat, although I prefer human women alive, I'd eat them with salad stocked  :lol2:

if i had to choose 1 to eat for the rest of my life i would choose vegetables because there are more variety and you can make many dishes that are for meat but substitute vegetables.

This is old, but meat and veggies as a combo is really hard to beat. I would probably be a carnivore if I really had to chose haha :)
