First round is complete. There was two game seven’s and both game seven’s was great hockey games. Ofc i am very happy that Dallas won the game and serie and I did yell my lungs out when Johnston scored the winning goal. Its sport as best when you can feel happiness many days after event. Winnipeg won their game seven and will play against Dallas. It will come to be difficult and hard serie to win. Mikko Rantanen was biggest reason why Dallas won game seven, because overall Colorado was playing better in game seven and in the serie overall. Dallas should get Heiskanen and Robertson back, but they also needs to improve they gaming. Now when there are fewer games, it's easier to follow more teams, so I plan to watch all games in the second round. Small second round preview. Toronto vs Florida. I am waiting even out serie. I truly think that Toronto has a chance to win the Cup this year and win Florida. Florida is still hungry, but I see Toronto more hungry. Goalies could be what determines who wins this series. Toronto has two strong goalies who to put net, but Florida has Bobrovsky. What version of Bobrovsky do we see this time? MVP Bob or Bob who can’t make key saves? Very interesting series to watch, can Barkov and the Lundell line shut down Toronto's offensive power. I put the winner of this series to the Finals from the east. My Prediction: Toronto win 4-3 Washington vs Carolina. Logan Thompson playing his career year at the net. I was a bit surprised that he is not a Vezina Finalist this season. He was strong against the Habs too. Carolina is in my books a small favorite. Stankoven can be a key player in this series. Carolina players are hungry and want to prove they can win without Rantanen or Guentzel. They are a very united team. This series might be boring to watch compared to other series, where we can wait for a lot of goals. This series will be hard and thigh battle hockey. My Prediction: Carolina win 4-2 Winnipeg vs Dallas Winnipeg had to get a huge boost on way how they won their game seven, they tied in the last seconds, came behind and won in overtime. Hellebuyck has been struggling in these playoffs, but if there is a goalie who can bounce back, it's Hellebuyck. Dallas probably has seen how to get the puck behind Hellebuyck. Dallas has a team who can make masks in front of Hellebuyck and if they get Heiskanen back, they have two defenders who can get the puck through the mask. Dallas has to improve their game from the first round. Second and third lines have to score too. Dallas has the widest offence group, they can't be a one line team as they were against Colorado. My Prediction: Dallas win 4-3 Vegas vs Edmonton Edmonton is a frighteningly good team. Hyman's speech after they lost the Stanley Cup finals have to echo in the players mind. Edmonton is in my book a clear favorite to win this series and only goalies can cost them the Cup this year. Their d-group is solid, their forward line is wide. Pickard was solid against LAK and Skinner can bounce back. They are hungry, probably the hungriest team. They are on the mission. Hill was super bad against the Wild. Thanks to Hill, the Wild had chances to win the series and won a couple games. You have to think that if Hill was struggling against the Wild, how big trouble would he be against Edmonton? How can Vegas win this series? Playing solid and great two-way hockey. Make the series as a two-way series, a series where best two-way players shine and take leading roles. Watched three games today (Wild, Dallas and Edmonton) Every game was enterteining to watch, but Dallas vs Colorado was best game so far. Shame that Dallas didnt win. Will come to be epic game seven saturday/sunday. Edmonton is dangerous team, and even that i didnt put them to win cup in my playoff poll, i think they are favorites to win it. Only questionmark is goalies, but Vegas have Hill and he has been weakest goalie so far. Edmonton should win Vegas easily, only in Hill find his game and can be 90,0%sv goalie Vegas has chances. Edmonton got to game seven last year, they know what need to win and many Champion has lost Stanley Cup finals first and then win it next year. Edmonton is probably hungriest team. Picard has been solid and if he continue like he was playing against LAK, Edmonton have real chance to win it. Florida looking dangerous too. Dropping Tampa Bay just in five games was strong playing from them. Toronto vs Florida is in my mind east finals. Either team who win can win Cup. Just like i think Colorado vs. Dallas is hardest serie from west. I cheer Dallas to win it, because Granlund is playing in there. Game seven can go to both, i am not surprised if we see overtime and who wins it can win Cup too. I believe my team. Playoff hockey is best time of the year. Hopefully you enjoyed games as i have been. I hope interesting teams go to Finals so i can watch hockey till season ends.

Just watched LAK vs Edmonton game. It was again great game, its far best serie so far what i seen this year. Byfield had time and opportunity to get puck out of own area, but he tryed to carry puck instead of shooting it and Edmonton tied game. Overtime was totally Edmonton and only Kuemper kept LAK in the game. Third period and overtime LAK looked so slow and tired. They played two great period, but they dont know how to defence against Edmonton. LAK was best defensive team in regular season, but against Edmonton they go to panic mode, they totally stop playing puck and give full control to Edmonton. I will try to watch game five also, because serie has been best so far. Edmonton is sleeping giant, can they get saves from Picard or Skinner? Thats the key question. LAK probably see nightmares now and think how they can win Edmonton, they had everything in they own hands, but third time they fell apart, first time they was lucky, when they got lucky game winning goal. Maybe they can win if they are behind most of the game? Let see. I recommend every hockey fan to watch EDM vs LAK serie, you will not be disappointent.

Yesterday we visited in BusBurger, first time this year. It's our restaurant and we like food in there. I did take chicken burger as always. 😋

Is anyone watching the Edmonton vs Los Angeles serie? That's an epic serie. Los Angeles looks more hungry after losing three seasons in a row to Edmonton in the first round, but LAK don't know how to defence their lead. When they are tied or behind, they play great hockey, when they lead they don't know what to do and are in full panic mode. I feel that Edmonton finds ways to win this serie. LAK PP is great and their offence is great, but their defence struggles and if you go scoring competition against a team like Edmonton it's not good. This series is likely to go to game seven, but I see Edmonton as the slight favorite to win the serie. No matter who wins, this serie is great and reminds me on Flyers vs Penguins serie from 2012. Hockey fans can enjoy offensive minded hockey and ups and downs. WoW So far i watched about two game per day. Every Dallas, Minnesota and Carolina games, plus two Edmonton and one Toronto game. Playoff hockey is great. Biggest surprise is that Wild lead serie against Vegas. Wild is finally fully healthy, but they are still a one line team, but Vegas can't find ways to stop the Kaprizov line. Hill can't save anything and it's interesting to see if Schmid starts game four. I believe they regret trading Thompson to WSH for nothing, one of the worst trades in NHL history. Dallas vs Colorado has been tight and defensive minded hockey. Dallas won twice in overtime. Rantanen's last game was strong, and Finn's line is interesting to follow. I did fear that Dallas might lose the serie 4-0 or 4-1, but they played better hockey, but they still can play a lot better. Toronto played well, but Ottawa hasn't play badly either. Toronto won twice in overtime so games has been tight, but Toronto has a lot more experience and that's played a key role in the serie. Ullmark looks like strong regular season goalie, but is goalie who melts in playoffs. Third game what i saw was good hockey from both side. The Carolina serie has been a little bit boring, not a lot happening on the ice, but the Carolina game style isn't the most entertaining one. Team might surprise and go long this summer, now nobody waits for them to do big things in the playoffs after losing Rantanen, and that can be mentally better to them than being favorites.

What you think? Is it time for new GM? Personally i been wondering Yzerplan, i never fully understand that plan. Couple season ago they stacked veteran defenders to teams, d-mans who was third d-pair defenders. Last summer they stacked goalies. Talbot was good signing, but they also bring Campbell to team who already had promising Cossa, veterans Husso and Lyon on team. Trade deadline they did bring Mrazek back. Husso was failure, but Lyon wasnt bad. Because they was stacking those secondary goalies and d-mans it was hard to see plan behind it. In Tampa Yzerplan was working because they was drafting very well, in past Detroit was main example how to draft well. 2016-2018 drafts they didnt get any key players and before they was drafting well outside of first round, but now Detroit havent found any key draft picks outside of first round. Now they drafted well in first round and Detroit have promising offensive group and talented goalie on Cossa. Edvinvinsson and Seider are good young d-mans so future should be bright. Drafting outside of first round and free agence is something where they need to do better. You have to give credit to Yzerman on Seider and Raymonds contracts. Those was good signings.
