Barn!e
Configs fine. Add com_ignorecrash 1 and memory settings in the shortcut that starts ET. Right click your desktop ET icon and edit the target as "c://program../et.exe +set com_ignorecrash 1; +set com_hunkmegs 256; +set com_zonemegs 64; +set com_soundmegs 64" This is important because ET never sets memory correct via configs. I also make sure I have r_displayrefresh set in your case 60 as 60Mhz monitor. best FPS will be 120 until you get a 144Mhz monitor I also change affinity to CPU 1 and under Nividia control panel make sure threaded optimization is off. I would also recommend Rinput.exe which removes mouse acceleration and can be found in the downloads section. Its a small .exe that fixes accel in ET by running it. Get the latest version of Ccleaner DNSBench and TCPOptimizer. Then follow their instructions to setup your DNS and optimize your network settings. Routers DNS is slow and can add packet loss in some cases. I found its not just configs but the PC has to be clean and optimised for ET.. good luck!! Lenovo

Xernicus
Google Translate cleaned up. It's been a long time since I wrote in this forum due to work, but this topic is very interesting to me, so I've devised a configuration suitable for everyone, and simple to change script at any time. I apologize if you maybe don't understand what I wrote because I'm Italian, but I think it's worthwhile for you to try it. create a shortcut to et.exe and add these flags: "c: //program../et.exe + set com_ignorecrash 1; + set com_hunkmegs 1024; + set com_zonemegs 64; + set com_soundmegs 64" -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- in my opinion, with that computer and my cfg, you could fly like superman, and increase your skills once you enter the game To write /exec lenovo press enter /r_picmip 3 press enter /vid_restart with my scripts you can change everything directly from the keyboard maxpackets 30/60/100 timestamps 0 / -10 / -20 / -30 / -40 / -50 maxfps 43/76/125 range 1.3 / 3 volume fov viewfinder size viewfinder color sight form and many other things like that. You can adapt to many different PCs, and especially to many different maps Very simple and intuitive. if you have time try it, make a complete copy of your folder, and delete the thing and so on (cvar reset...? Dunno what's being mentioned here) Also, there's this: http://bfy.tw/94z0

Lenovo
obviously having 16 gb of ram, you can also increase the com_hunkmegs to 1024 I have some friends who play with maxfps at 333 but is not synchronized with the displayrefresh that I know in the best monitors does not exceed 144hz certainly the graphics of my cfg is poor, but gives you the opportunity to see everything nella tastiera numerica e le frecce direzionali, è possibile modificare le varie impostazioni che ho elencato associare F9 "vstr crosshair" associare F8 "vstr crosshr" associare F10 "vstr crosshairsize" bind KP_END "vstr fps00" bind KP_DEL "vstr time00" bind KP_PGDN "vstr packets00" bind KP_DOWNARROW "vstr rate00" bind UPARROW "vstr gamma" legare LEFTARROW "vstr fov" legare DOWNARROW "vstr sens" bind. Xernicus
I wouldn't crank up the memory allocation (hunkmegs) that high. First of all, the game simply isn't ever going to use that much memory. And to be honest, if anything it would slow it down (esp loading maps), because at that point it will start to page to the drive. SSD or not, RAM is the second fastest device in terms of IO after the CPU.For larger maps, the zonemegs seems low. And with our vsays the soundmegs might be low.Personally, I'd use something like:-hunkmegs 392 -zonemegs 128-soundmegs 128 (64 might work)

BTW, I did have 250 as my max FPS, it was a disaster. I found my best was setting to 150, and I get steady 166 FPS in-game
