The only people to come out of that with any sort of credit is Rashford and to a lesser extent Vardy. Everyone else to a man was absolute garbage. Unable to pass properly, can't control the ball, can't judge a free kick or corner, certainly incapable of shooting. Utterly bereft of any skill, guile, intelligence. A totally brain dead performance. Rooney is supposed to be captain but not only was that his worst ever game for England he failed to give the rest of the players a kick up the arse and encourage them through the game. Awful leader on the pitch. Let's not forget Joe Hart putting in the worst performances of any gk throughout the entire tournament. Roy Hodgson has been an absolute disaster as England manager. Failed to get us out of the group stages at the WC then sees us knocked out by Iceland. We were absolutely desperate for something, anything, to spark our game into life so why does he wait until 86 minutes to bring Rashford on? He did more in 5 minutes than the rest of the team combined. The really bad news is one of the favourites for the job is Gareth Southgate - basically Roy Hodgson but 30 years younger!! But I will also add than Pepe (that I usually hate deeply for his past bad acts) did a fantastic match in defense.
