Grand Theft Auto V coming to PS4, Xbox One November 18, PC in January 2015

Rockstar has officially announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from November 18. However, PC owners will have to wait until January 27, 2015.

 

The next-gen versions of the game will feature new weapons, vehicles, and activities, as well as additional wildlife, denser traffic, improved foliage, enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more, according to the developer. There’s also enhanced radio selections with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations.

 

“A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more,” Rockstar wrote.

 

Players who pre-order the game on any of the three platforms will receive $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash split across story mode and Grand Theft Auto Online ($500,000 each).

 

Speaking of GTA Online, there’s some improvements for Grand Theft Auto V’s online component too, including an increased player count to 30, and access to all previously released content for the last-gen versions. Players will also be able to carry over their GTA Online progression from PS3 and Xbox 360 to either PS4, Xbox One, or PC.

I gotta be honest, as a PC gamer this has been announced too late. Sure I was interested back in 2013 and I was fine waiting for the Spring 2014 release for PC, but there's other, newer, cooler games out now.

Not to mention that they probably got bribed by some graphics card company to release it later, and thus have ridiculously bumped specs that most people won't be able to handle.

I guess they pushed the PC release date out another month since the last announcement I saw.  I will still buy the PC version when its released since I don't have a playstation or xbox.

even then, it can be a pain in the ass to actually mod the game, GTA 4 had quite a complex mechanism to it modding wise if you compare it to fallout/elder scrolls games.

Give the community the time. Do you also know GTA5 uses the same Engine as GTA4?

 

Also for others who want a good comparsion between the PS3 and PS4 version.

 

I think this is gona be the first true next/current -gen game. I will buy it for PC for sure!

Trailer look great, but its not so great that i want buy new console and game and spend over 400 euro for that. But i waiting pc release, and if there is possible to add GTA 5 to our servers and games
