The Lost Art of Defense ????????

Hello F|A /ET Community !!!!!!!!!!  Just wanted to talk to you about the seeming lost art of defense in the game.  I know much of it is lack of experience, especially for new players, and some are just "frag whores" ..... heh ! heh! ... (Play for high # of kills).  I have played in way to many games where teammates are too  or just don't care.  They have trouble even doing the basics like disable the vehicle or defend our objective !!!!!!   :noob's          Ha !!   Ha !!   I know sometimes a good defense is a good offense and visa versa but not all the time >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>  Truly defense is a lost art that must be learned/relearned & discovered/rediscovered ..........

 

 

   Since I did mention offense I will offer you my quick assessment after observation of some offensive deficiencies.

 

More cover for engineers, getting help when engaged (don't just watch .... Shoot !!!) especially on a server with no friendly fire ... you can't injure teammates !!!!    Of course you have your "Rambo" medics that don't heal and your field ops that don't use artillery or airstrikes just resupply ?????  Then you have the campers on offense that don't attack and don't have any regard for time running out of mission. 

 

To each their own but I believe with better Defense & Offense games will be closer and more competitive which will intern make them a lot more fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Hopefully we all shall continue to improve our smarts and skills !!!!!!!!!!!!!

totally agree now a days i see more players who goes for frags but less to win a map nd do obj but sometimes thats good cause it will help sometimes for obj

I usually just frag. Doing Objective means sacraficing a bunch of deaths and not having fun. That just means trying to get an objective that isn't having effort put towards anyway by your team because your teammates that are supposed to be on the offense, are instead playing defense lol. I get a lot more enjoyment and accomplishment when I go something like 69-12 because fragging is fun on my part.

It's not as evident on bigger servers and with low spawn times, but a good fragger is effectively playing defense by not allowing the enemy team to get to the objective before having to respawn

I frag to support and heal teamnates, That means I also try to defend and steal/destroy objectives by support.

Jay for fun. silEnT for Obj. i keep forgetting how fun doing the objective is i used to always play as an engineer. like it was my duty lol. but then i found out that medics are the shit. then i became less objective oriented lol. i guess it happens

you should know that rambo medics are essential, without fragers, engies and covies will not servive against panza or Flamers so keep in mind that each has his roles, Furthermore, playing for obj is not so important as it used to be, same thing goes for the whole game xD ....my opinion

Soldiers ( Panzers or Flamers ) are and should be last line of defense

I agree with f3@r, I find more enjoyment from fragging than anything else in the game. I'm far from a rambo though; I end up getting best medic quite a bit

Hello everyone, I think firstly we must respect the rules of the FA that is initially no rush for 5 min, thus leaving time to kill a lot of players.
then it is true that there are times that no defense exists.
you often see one engineer for two dynamite impossible therefore to be in two places.
it myself I often change between fields ops medic engineer.
while in defense and playing the objective I remain generally in good killers.
So morality respect the rules, the team, play the Kill and obj.
