Website Login - Email Address [Display Name will be not be allowed for login]

Hi Everyone,

 

I will be soon disabling login with Display Name. Please use your Email Address for login ASAP. Currently website allows login with Display name and it will be disabled from Feb 1st, 2023. 

 

Using email address is more secure then Display Name, since only website knows your email address vs Display Name which is visible to all.

It came to our attention today that bad actors, are brute forcing the forum accounts i.e. not on our website but other websites as well. So as we mentioned before:

 

1. Create strong password. 

2. Keep your profile email ID secure. 

3. Enable 2 Factor on =F|A= site and also for your email ID. 2 Factor is must now a days. 

 

Stay safe and secure your online profiles. On our forums, we don't allow more then 3 tries per 6 hours. Initially it was 15 mins but now it's 6 hours.

Will it change automatically? actual i can log me in with me username or my email adresse, did i change something or it's ok already & it will update from self at the 1st, Feb.?

Just log off and login with email instead of username

Appx 1 week to go. Please make sure you remember the login i.e. your email ID and not Display Name. You will not be able to login with display names post 1st Feb, 2023.
