No, we will not do that. 

 

DareDevil's research has showed him that having the bots on the server attracts more human players that just having 4 x 4 humans.  Back when the admins were able to !put the bots to spec, we sometimes ended up with 3 x 3 or 2 x 2 humans on Jay#1 on slow "nights".

The player-count, including the bots, attracts many of the newer players via the ET-server Browser.  I can remember choosing to do that when I first began playing this game. 😄   If the hotshots that disdain killing bots disconnect, then the newer players might Not be so Slaughtered by the HotShats and thus be encouraged to continue playing the game.

 

We do need a continuous supply of New Blood in this game!

Just kidding 😁 Bots are vital to every server, to keep up the player count on slower traffic periods.

 

Are they annoying? Yes, at times. Are they neccesary? Absolutely.

We will fix the bot issue with ETL. Something is causing the problem for NQ, silent mod and jaymod. Either ETL + AC or ETL + Mode issue or all 3 together.

is that why theres lag spikes on jay2 .. past few weeks? i thought it was becuz server hasnt been restarted in almost 2 an a half weeks.

It was restarted about 1.5 hours ago after DD applied a Database Restore .

@CabaL You can report such posts by spam-bots and they will be "cleaned up" pretty quickly by Staff+ clan members.

 

I don't know French, but I know enough to recognize what the 'bot is advertising here.  😄 No need to be .  I am going to use Google-Translate to be even more sure of what is being said.
