Hey guys,

I had crashes in silentmod, so I decided to delete the silent folder to re-download it again (from Beg#2)

I was able to fix the crashes, by deleting the baserace map (big thanks to Rambozo :Dbut now I'm getting !warned for using the FA tag, also I lost all my XP, and I don't have the quick connect buttons on the right of the main menu...

The reason I did not backup silent folder was because I thought everything was already in my etkey, guess I was wrong.

Do I need a new silent guid?

Any way to fix this issue?

Cheers

Check your GUIDs still match the ones on the forums. Most likely you lost at least your silEnT GUID when you deleted your silent folder which contained the silent.dat file. Update any new GUIDs into your profile and PM me or another recruiter+ to set your level again.

Dear Lemon, you lost your GUID probably, you need to update your new GUIDs into your forum profile. After that we can set you back.

PS cheep dont even try to ninja me

Can you restore the files that you deleted in your "old" silent folder? If yes, then retrieve your "old" silent.dat file and put it back where it was, so you will have your xp and level and GUID before you deleted it. And after that make sure you will have access to that file (as well as to "etkey") by eg. sending it to yourself as e-mail

I deleted Silent mod thinking I could redownload it to fix

To preserve your Silent mod XP in the future, save the Silent.Dat file in your Silent folder elsewhere before your ever delete Silent mod or reinstall ET.  You can move that file back into your Silent folder to restore your XP records on the Silent servers.

If you have lost your old Silent.dat file, then you will have also update the S:ET in your profile.  Your admin level cannot be set on your new GUID until you do so.  Goto Silent#1 and do !myguid.  The server will PM you back with your 8-digit S:ET.

Save your etkey file from your ETmain folder for the same reason.  That file is used by ET to generate your W:ET (found by doing /cl_guid in the console...the last 8 Hex digits), which you must also have in your profile to have levels on the Jaymod and NoQuarter servers.

OKAY, the Beginners#2 records showed that he was there some 10 minutes ago, with the same GUIDs as are in his profile.

He had been there some 3 hours ago, with no tags and with a different S:ET.

It looks like he was able to restore his GUIDs, I think. :D urk... :D
