Sgt Meatwad Posted August 12, 2018 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Hello, Just got back to playing ET after about 11 years off. Keep getting connection interrupted errors multiple times per match. Relatively newer PC on a hardwired ethernet connection. Running Windows 8. 2,4GHZ Celeron Processor. My old machine from over a decade ago ran just fine, so I'm not sure what might be causing this. Installed after years away and now about 3-5 minutes into a game I get connection interrupted and I have to disconnect and connect again. Please help??? MaKy Posted August 13, 2018 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Start game then press ~ That key then type /cl_maxpackets 100 then hit enter then do /rate 34000 and hit enter Also if that doesn't help right click et icon go to properties then compatibility and try win 8 or even xp. Barn!e Posted August 22, 2018 Share Posted August 22, 2018 Is your router port forwarded for ET? Clean ETMain of PK3's from maps only if its more than 30 odd maps in there. There is a PK3 cleaner in the downloads section. try /com_ignorecrash 1 and cl_packetdup 1 Do you set your memory in the target file path as per the playing ET guide? Also make sure you are running the game as administrator. Also if windows 10 task master details tab. right click et.exe and change affinity to just 1 core. Details here https://portforward.com/wolfenstein-enemy-territory/ I also recently used this overly simplistic video and TCP optimizer and it actually improved my already solid speeds so try that too.
