I'm overdue for a reread of Ender's Game (and the bean one was pretty good too). Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius. easy acess stoic philosophy. (there's a line from the move '10 things I Hate About You' that goes something like "I know Shakespeare is a dead white guy, but he knows his shit." ame applies here) speaking of Shakespeare.... read his plays. the language is kinda like a scottish accent, you warm up to it pretty quickly if you don't understand it right off the bat. and I should point out the reason '10 things...' is talking about shakespeare is because it is essentially a modern retelling of "the Taming of the Shrew" set in Seattle and with Heath Ledger.
