  1. My friend who has had had guitars featured in Guitar magazine built this one for my 2 years clean anniversary. I've always been a Les Paul fan, so he made this for me it's solid mahogany with a quilted maple overlay, solid rosewood neck with an ebony fretboard. @evilbutters, you'd appreciate the smooth playing and rich sound.
  2. 27-liter Merlin Engine, as used in Spitfires, Lancasters and P51 Mustangs. 2mpg with a 26-gallon tank. 😄 10 gallons of oil. 😄 No supercharger "Low speed run" at 185 mph on the Autobahn. LMAO in delight! 😄
  3. Since the newest addition to the Insurgency server family, a lot of people have been confused as to how exactly operate both of these new classes to circumvent the near endless spawns and harrowing fire from all sides. After some dabbling, I found the official discussion page for the theater. Have fun! https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SernixINS/discussions/0/1743343017635448125/
  4. Good day, recruits and veterans , most people of this forum know that one of Fearless Assassins Day of Infamy server will be changed to custom. But problem is this clan's DOI branch staff doesn't get much suggestions which map use or even gamemode (WWI, Vietnam and etc). According my research the most people of DOI players plays only official maps and that leads to lack of information for custom maps...in short people doesn't know what to suggest. So i came with an idea...Today i will start review custom maps of Day of Infamy focused on main problems like these: No use for sniper, Rush tactics, mission time, fun, challenges and of course the REAL COOPERATION 😠not the that cooperation which is "oh i am first of player list! ". At some maps also i mention sometimes @Sisje because she accidentally joined through me, so i will use as reference of "PRO player" . And all maps excluding one was tested in other servers because practice mode messing up with whole gameplay. So let's start.... *turns on the gramophone* OPERATION: FEARLESS ASSASSINS OPENS GATES TO HELL [Part No. 1] MAP: Compass Gameplays: Stronghold, Entrenchment, Patrol. Link:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1169735323&searchtext=compass I played of this map entrenchment in practice mode it was fun even alone ( maybe i should meet more people ). So i liked that the map is more for marksman type player (Sniper, or FN42 with scope). Also it has and disadvantages: about 2 - 3 defending points is on open area all players need to spread out to not get direct hit of bombing. Also it has minor mapping error some ground layers is not covered up so you can see through other layer but it doesn't harm the player. MAP: Ardennes Gameplays: Stronghold, Entrenchment. Link:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1373359976&searchtext= This map played in custom server so this map was fun but server gived me only stronghold gameplay. So what is standing out of this map...THE TANK! and it is moving and killing enemy (U.S. Army) But if you want make that tank start to kill and move you need be near it. So in this map also was @Sisje also the server was on super hardcore and whole time i was hiding on side of tank , so it is big ass cover and also moves always with you. MAP: Kriegsmarine Gameplays: Stronghold, Entrenchment. Link:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1169748967&searchtext= As i mentioned before that server was set on super hardcore so @Sisje and me doesn't hold so long even on first point. But the map is interesting, as i know that map is based on CoD ( if i am correct). This map is the most to close area (urban, insade in base). Actually not much i can say about this map. MAP: Marketgarden Gameplays: Stronghold, Entrenchment. Link:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1169827881&searchtext=marketgarden I played this in other server because "Super hardcore" was..er.. to hard to me . This map i actually liked it has good advantage point for sniper in wind mill which is on map's centre. The most map is open but also covered with high grass or wheat fields, so you can rush through no one will see you . MAP: DOI_V2_Forest Gameplays: Stronghold. Link:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1349485112&searchtext=DOI_V2 This map....THIS MAP...DIS MAP solves the main problem "Rush tactics" and requires the real cooperation, because you can't rush without Tank, yes? -Of course, yes . So tank is most important object in this map without it you can't capture points also gives a challenge for team in tank's route it can be blockades like those on picture so you need to clean up with TNT. Also i like in this map you don't need to be engineer for TNT or don't need to equip the TNT, it has some points with boxes of TNT, also on Tank and in Bunker you can find heavy MG and even you will get extra mag for it. Also for snipers has some advantage points...it was so fun in it. MAP: WEB_Carentan Gameplays: Stronghold, Entrenchment. Link:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1261064369&searchtext= Is well know battle of Carentan durring overlord operation, also it become famous after Series of Band of Brothers...it is so accurate by that Series even has those trenches on each side of road. This map actually big maybe that will slower that "rush tactics" but i am not sure...well we will see in Testing field. So you can see that episode of Band of Brothers:Attack Cerantan: And the Part No. 1 ends here, be on folks!
  5. Hey everyone Just wanted to get the ball rolling to see what everyone would want to see done in the server. There is already a discussion for maps so please avoid them.
  6. Many folks have been wondering how they can view all of the recent status updates on the new forums now that there's no "View All Updates" button. Luckily, it's easy to do with the new "Activity Stream" function. The Activity Stream is basically a replacement for Big Spy with some extra features that make it an "all-in-one" spot to help you keep track of your favorite subforums, galleries, blogs, status updates and even certain members (no stalkies plz). In this tutorial, I'll show you how to set up a custom activity stream for viewing all status updates: Hover over "Activity Tab" until the dropdown menu appears, and click on "My Activity Streams". Click on "Create New Stream". You'll see a "Create New Stream" form. -For Stream Title, you can put a name such as "Status Updates", so it's easy to follow. -You can leave "Show Me" boxes alone- doesn't matter which setting you choose, comments and reactions will still be displayed. -Choose "Status Updates" for content types. -Leave Read, Following, and Ownership at "Everything" and Time Period to "Any Time" (default) -No need for tags. Click "Save Changes" once you're all done. Hover over Activity again, click on "My Activity Streams". You will notice a new "Custom Streams" category with your new stream. Click on that. Enjoy looking at all of the status updates!
  7. Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity As some of you may have already found out, I'm building my very first computer next week (or I'm going to Canada Computers to get my parts). I've decided on what parts I want, but I feel feedback is very important. Here is a list of what my computer build is: CPU Intel - Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor $151.17 Motherboard MSI - B150M Pro-VD Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $86.99 Memory Kingston - HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory $93.99 Storage Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $59.95 Video Card EVGA - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card $374.99 Case NZXT - S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case $94.99 Power Supply EVGA - 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply $54.99 Total - $917.07 CDN So there it is. The prices listed are how much they are being sold (cheapest) on online retailers such as amazon Canada, so it might alter, especially at Canada Computers, but my goal is to build one for around or less than $1000 CDN excluding tax (which is 13% HST). I wouldn't bother me if it reaches $1100 CDN, but I want to avoid it if necessary. I'm sort of confused as of whether I should upgrade the i3 - 6100 to a i5 - 6600 for about $140 CDN more, and would like your guys' opinion. My siblings recommend that I do exactly that. Also forgot to mention, my goal is to run most, if not all, AAA games at 1080p ultra settings at 60fps. I'm not interested in 120 Hz, or 1440p, just 1080p 60fps or higher. I am not planning on overclocking the CPU. The CD-ROM is not added because I will be taking it from my no-longer-working Optiplex, as it is still functional. For the ram, I want to know if there may be more powerful sticks that aren't MUCH more expensive than what is already listed. I might buy LED strips to make it look fancy, because honestly what is gaming if there isn't any RGB Lastly, I am not interested in buying any AMD cards. I am a fan of AMD themselves, but I just want to have my build to hold a GTX 1060 6gb as it has many high reviews and not too many complaints. Thanks for the feedback to whoever replies <3 , Wienie P.S. if you find any parts and are not sure what the price is in Canada, just go to https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/ , create a build, and just type in your part name. It lists all the prices based off different websites and what they are selling it for. P.S.S. I am also aware that the price on pcpartpicker will most probably not be accurate to what it may be in actual stores, but it gives a rough idea. I will be holding some extra cash in case. P.S.S.S. Yes I know about the GPU price spike from the cryptominers, but Canada Computers is selling there graphics card for around its normal price range (375 bucks CDN for the graphics card I'm buying). I might just check on them just in case. P.S.S.S.S. sorry if the format is wacky
  8. Hey everyone- I've been looking into making maps now for a little while, and I was wondering about the tool(s) used for map creation. I've seen the Enemy Territory Map Editor being used quite frequently, but there are so many others that are floating around on the web as well- and I was wondering if one in particular stood out against the others. I'll be posting to this thread as I make the map(s), so if you're interested in my project, and/or want to give me ideas please either subscribe or shoot me a PM. See ya on the server!
  9. File Name: Vsay Chat System File Submitter: Heretic121 File Submitted: 14 Apr 2013 File Category: Player Configs This is my current vsay chat system. I learned how to create custom vsays today, and then wanted to make my own chat system for them. The system uses the numpad on your keyboard as follows: Three control keys: 7, 8 and 9 are your control keys. 7 will set Global vsays, 8 will set Team vsays and 9 will set Fun vsays. Global uses keys 1 - 6 on the numpad: 1 = Hi 2 = Bye 3 = Cheer 4 = Great Shot 5 = Thanks 6 = You're welcome Team uses keys 4-6 on the numpad: 4 = Need a Medic (With current HP appended) 5 = Need Ammo (With current amount of ammo) 6 = We need an engineer I'm currently working on Fun because I've created it using multiple levels. So I could potentially add up to 200+ custom vsays on there. There is one vsay on there at the moment, to show how it'll be used. To use it, it's 9444 on the numpad. Well, that's it. Hope you enjoy the first instalment of my Vsay Chat System Click here to download this file
  10. Not quite sure what to call it but it's my current custom vsay config thingy. Anywho, a quick explanation of it: This config makes use of the numpad, which is normally used for fireteam things. The reason I chose the numpad was because I don't really use the numpad for fireteams, and it was alot of spare keys doing nothing much So there are three static control keys, 7, 8 and 9 on the numpad. 7 is for Global Vsays, 8 is for Team Vsays and 9 is for Fun Vsays. To select Vsays from these categories you use 1-6 on the numpad. 7 and 8 have a max of 6 custom vsays each. 9 can have anything up to 200+ vsays, but currently only has three. Global Vsays: Numpad 1 - Hello Numpad 2 - Goodbye Numpad 3 - Cheer Numpad 4 - Great Shot Numpad 5 - Thanks Numpad 6 - You're welcome. Team Vsays: Numpad 4 - Medic (With current health) Numpad 5 - Ammo (With current ammo) Numpad 6 - We need an engineer. The Fun category has three vsays at the moment, but as mentioned, it has the potential to have 200+ vsays. If you want to use the current three vsays, they are as follows: Numpad 444: Text - How do you like me now, [k]? | Sound - Boom Headshot! Numpad 445: Text - I love you, [r]! | Sound - I love you! Numpad 446: Text - Thank you, [p]! | Sound - Thanks Not the most amazing fun vsays, but they're just a little filler to show that it works Right, I think that's about it. If you have any questions, ask away EDIT: I forgot to add; when I created this, I had only just spent 30 minutes learning it. It took me about 2 hours to build it from scratch, bug test it and fix any problems I encountered. So if there any mistakes, or problems, I apologise NOTE: This config was created for NQ1, however it does work on NQ2 and 3 but it won't be able to use any custom sounds. vsays.zip
