  1. I was trying to tell a prospect how to introduce himself and fill out an app, when I noticed this problem. If you aren't signed in, and prospects can't be signed in, there is no clear place to fill out an app. I think we need a simple button on the main page to lead these new prospects to, so that filling out an app is easier. Right now we have to direct them to http://fearless-assassins.com/forums/Introduce Yourself/thunder/.... When I am online playing and want to lead a prospect to that page, it is too long for them to write it all down.
  2. As we know a lot of hacks out there have some sort of fast fire for semi auto weapons and pistols be it a built in with a aim bot or the fast-fire when within the player model boxes of programs such as roccat and other aim assist hacks. With this been said while there are other ways to do it be it mouse wheel a script\bind and so on i do believe that it would just be easier to make a new rule that no fast fire/scrolling is allowed not only does this make guns that are where made with more damage to offset there lack of full auto overpowered but all all and all seems like a shady practice with this been said not a lot of ppl on FA servers seem to use it anyway so i do not think it will cause much of a problem to not allow it and will make it harder for ppl to use aim assist programs that have this feature (aim-bots are easy to spot so will not even mention them )
  3. This is primarily brought up because of the whole Master Server List being down for weeks. Figured it might help some people if we can get some DNS A records like ET has. Instead of remembering IP addresses and port numbers, we can bring it down to just port numbers. Maybe something like: cod4.clan-fa.com cod4-euro.clan-fa.com Then when you are in COD4, you can do /connect cod4.clan-fa.com:28934 to go to Beginners and so on. You can also accomplish this on your local PC by placing a host file entry in. If anyone is interested and needs help, I can assist.

Hey guys, Ive noticed that to ban people from servers you need a leader present to ban them via rcon, i would suggest using PHP rcon, it allows some rcon tools to be used by trusted users without giving them the rcon password for the servers, and it is configureable to multiple servers, it looks what each person does by username instead of ip address to make finding people a lot easier. this also displays guids and can work with punk buster. This is a web interface, so you can log in from any computer. -Fear

  8. It's really nothing important, just little things I notice and can't get out of my head. When a person is kicked for too many warnings by admin, it reads (paraphrase) "To many warnings from Admin" To = Too thanks

Heya! in the last time there where a lot of ppl wearing tags - without having tags - on the beginners server... every single one put them off again, but they all said, that they applied! but the only thing they all did was registering to the forums! i don't know, what the other servers consoles say, but on beginners it's kind of irritating... it says we are recruiting and tells everyone where to register in forums. but nothing is said about what to do then... as long as someone of us is there, that may be okay, but in the times around 6:00 - 12:00 in my time (should be around -6 for NY) there is barely one of us on beginners... is it possible to change the text in console to somethiong like "go to www.fearless-assassins.com - and look for the join us / app section" ? or display the way to go when someone registers for forums?
  10. I have a suggestion for the Recruiting server that I never see anyone on. I'm probably not the only one, but I'm a huge fan of objective based games. You could turn that into a Hardcore Moshpit style server, that incorporates all the game types. You have no server of this type and I think it breaks down the monotony of playing one gametype, over....and over.....and over....again. Also it would be a great idea to lower the players down to 12 vs 12. Having a server maxed out is hectic ecspecially since the maps were designed for 18 players max. It would also allow us to actually recruit on the recruiting server. Anyways, just my 2 cents worth...
  11. Hello, This is just a suggestion. From my moderator experience, it is very good to allow the "Press F to Spawn" time after a death. Why? This allows moderators (and players) to scroll through spectate mode without switching to spectate mode (which creates a very noticeable skull and crossbones in the killfeed, as well as a very noticeable addition to the spectator team). It is much quicker to spectate any player one wishes to this way without giving notice to cheaters that someone is doing so. The only hint is that your dogtags are next to your name. This also gives players the opportunity to wait til AFTER airstrikes pass, or to wait for a time they feel is more appropriate, to respawn. Thanks! Narbisaur
  12. I would love to see a message added about using auto assign when joining in. All this evening teams have been unbalanced. No one had an issue using it once it was mentioned so I'm not complaining about anyone I just think if the message was there as they came into the lobby it might reduce this a tiny bit. Also, being new to COD on PC myself I was confused about what nade switching was. Never had heard the term before. Once explained, easy enough but I'm sure other new players might question what it is as I did. Anywho, just a suggestion Take care
  13. Hey so I have been thinking. I understand we have two types of awards right now (KDR and most kills) but I was wondering if we could expand out more. I was think we could add maybe 3 or 4 awards cause the kdr and most kills seems to have been getting little out of reach for most people, making it lack in the number of people willing to even try. Some awards I was thinking: Most Kills with an RPG Most Kills with a Claymore Most Kills with an Airstrike Most kills with C4 Rules are sort of simple (if you can think of better way of putting them I’m all ears) It only counts if it is one (RPG,Claymore, AS, Grenade) no multi usage allowed....so you can’t plant 2 clays and count that as one. It has to be on FA servers They have to submit it in full SS format so we can see the kills. Here is an example of submission: This would be a submission for Most kills with C4 Award. Then the next person would have to get 5 kills. Gubbi also made a great suggestion. Instead of giving them VIP status after so many wins, could we possibly change lvl2 on the admin scale from Learning Admin lvl2 to Award winner. We could also strip down the commands and just give them fun command (I mean I don’t think they would need pl, checkadmin). Since I don’t think we use lvl2 that much... Think it would bring more people to forums. Side note, this will pretty much have same layout as the KDR and Most kills award. It will be monthly, so it will give people plenty of chances to have at it. Then I was also thinking at the end of the year we pick the top guy from each category and give the Killer of the year award or something... So what do you all think? I mean I'll have to find a better way to explain rules...and iron out some stuff.
  14. is it possible to add a map vote for all players on killbox server? maps like ambush, bloc and countdown are to big for 1vs1 or 2vs2 but it would be nice if we can play them with 4vs4.

  16. There are so many complaints about this in every game I play on here. Multiple deaths from a single Air Strike. Can you admin guys get together and vote in a 3 second spawn delay so we can stop this? I know some of the guys will gripe about the delay but it is getting ridiculous. Last week I was killed 3 times in the same AS. Spawn, boom, spawn,boom, spawn,boom. I don't know if the mod version on this server allows for the player to hold the left shift key down when spawning or not? That helped. You could hold the shift key down for up to 4 seconds, to stop spawn massacres and other stuff. It was a really nice option.
  17. Did you know that in COD4, the weapon you choose, can also dictate the size of the kill zone on your opponent? It is true and you should try this. Set you weapon selection to the following to begin this test: Any sniper rifle with a scope Let's say the Dragunov. Select UAV jammer for stealth. Select bandolier for extra ammo Select deep impact to shoot thru walls easier. Now play the game and see how accurate you have to be to get a single shot kill at a distance. When you add the scope to your weapon, the game shrinks the kill zone area. If it didn't, you could use a Dragunov like a machine gun. Now select this class of weapon: Select the G3, no options. Select the UAV Select bandolier Select deep impact. Now play the game and watch how easy it is to get, distant, one shot kills. The game expands the kill circle because you are using open sights. Every weapon in the game has a different kill circle and that circle can get smaller if you add Reddot or ACOG scope to it. The three most deadly weapons in this game are: G3...M14...and the lowly 9mm pistol. Try these weapons and you will see the truth.
  18. I just figured that since Mixed is in the name of the Hardcore server, we should bring at least one FFA map back. I miss it and I've heard that others do, too. Of all the maps, I agree with a previous post in a different thread, that Pipeline would be the best map for it. Granted, some people hate FFA but some people hate S&D, also. It would be cool to have a mixed server that can legitimately be referred to as mixed.

  20. Wouldn't it be an idea to change the map cycle on the beginners server? I would like to suggest to remove crossfire. A real horror map; it's designed like somekind of bottle with a bottleneck in the middle. The effect of the design is that there are 2 corridors to pass through the map in which the two times collide. It's more like price shooting and spray&pray than strategic sneak in on the enemy. There are simply no ways to sneak in because of the existence of only 2 corridors (and the main street, but that one is scattered with snipers). Other members suggestions on replacement maps? I find overgrown a pretty competitive one Like to hear your thoughts, Koekje.
  21. So, a problem, sort of... While describing in 'Team Chat' where someone was hiding I used the word "Jewelry" to identify the place, as in "Jewelry Store"...the place with all the counters in it in Crossfire. console comes back with an admonishment not to use "bad words, 'Jew'"? Here's the problem...it is entirely possible that people who are Jewish might take offense to being called a "bad word". Thought somebody might like to know about that.
  22. Dear Players, In the past few days, I have been wondering a few times why 'auto select' is not mandatory when choosing a team? It had not bothered me in the past, but this afternoon I saw the effect of letting players free in choosing their own team. This afternoon, about 10 players were online. About five of them kept choosing 'Marines or S.A.S.' as team when asked at the beginning of a new map. I always choose 'Auto-select' when asked. Result: I was the only one in OPFOR, against 7 in Marines at the start of the map! Auto-balance flattened this after a short time, but most of the medium- to high-skilled players kept playing in the Marines team. The result after a few maps was that the Marines/S.A.S. kept winning, mostly with a difference of 3:1 or 4:1. (e.g: 100 kills OPFOR / 400 kills S.A.S.). And it happened often that a S.A.S. player was transferred to OPFOR by auto-balance, and then manually swapped back to S.A.S. short after by himself. Furthermore, I like to argue that in some maps, Ambush for instance, one teams has an advantage over the other one. In Ambush, I find that the Marines-side is better protected against snipers because of the curved-roads. And the sniper spots on the Marines-side have a significant good line-of-sight on the mostly straight-formed roads of the OPFOR-side. I see you thinking: what is this guy whining about? Well... With these small advantages, but on top an overpowered team formed by players who don't choose auto-select, can form a significant impact on the gameplay. Conclusion-of-the-story: In my opinion, making auto-select mandatory will spread the players more evenly over the teams. Players clutching into one particular team will be prevented. Like to hear your thoughts, Koekje.
  23. I have found that I can survive an Air Strike and a Helo attack by crouching and leaning into a nearby wall or object. I have used this for a long time and have seen obvious perks to doing this. You can also use the lean, go around in circles technique while your opponent empties his weapon at you, without hitting you. This is a tried and true technique I have seen 100's of times. I don't understand how it works, but these two techniques do work. So, next time a foe is right in front of you and you attack each other, hit your lean right button and just go around him in a circle and wait till he empties, then shoot him. Just using the lean button can increase your ability to withstand a hit. I watch guys on here all the time going slow, crouched and leaning into buildings and they can shoot me everytime, even though I may hit them first.
  24. Hi there, Like to share my thoughts about the airstrikes on the #3 beginners server. When it is busy online, airstrikes become more frequently available. Sometimes it reaches a level where a que of people with airstrikes is created. Airstrikes keep coming and coming, not always evenly spreaded. Last evening; I got killed about 14 times by an airstrike within 2 minutes in the map Ambush, mostly within 5 seconds from spawning. The Ambush map is very effective when using airstrikes; lots of open spaces and most spawns are located outside. The 14-kills-in-2-minutes were mainly caused by poor spreading imho. The opposite team got a ton of people waiting to launch an airstrike, and many of them got a chance to launch it right after eachother, causing 'our' side to be completely wiped of the map due to the great number of airstikes in a row. The thing with airstikes is; they are powerfull. Precisely in maps like Ambush and Crossfire with lot of open spaces, they can have a lot of effect, mainly because of the many open spawns. Is it somehow possible to create a timer between the airstrikes? At this moment, an airstrike can be launched about 5 seconds after the last one finished. We could enlarge this time within airstrikes; e.g. to 20 or 30 seconds. In this way, we could prevent a large row of airstrikes on the same area, making it sometimes barely playable when it is crowded. Love to hear your thoughts, Koekje
  25. I thought of a pretty funny idea, what if on Christmas the map rotations for every CoD 4 server changed to only Winter Crash, 247? That would be pretty funny. :3
