  2. A problem of lag / spikes of ping? There is many reasons causing issues on Internet connectivity, and spikes of pings. One of them it the corruption of TCP/IP stack, due to various installations of softwares using (or changing) network settings/configuration, DNS issues or network issues after installing VPN or firewall or after removing malware/virus. This is how you can fix the problem of spikes of ping. Windows Vista/7/8/10 - Open elevated command prompt (in search box type "cmd" and right click on command prompt programm - "Run as Administrator") Then type the following commands: 1 - Reset winsock catalog to default. C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh winsock reset 2- Reset TCP/IP C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh int ip reset 3 - Force to give up lease - send DCHP release notification. C:\WINDOWS\system32>ipconfig /release 4 - Tell DHCP server that your PC want to join network and need new IP address. C:\WINDOWS\system32>ipconfig /renew 5 - Clear DNS cache. C:\WINDOWS\system32>ipconfig /flushdns 6- Restart the computer. Here you start with a fresh and clean new TCP/IP stack ---------------------------------- Other topics related to lag issues / How to fix :
  3. Hi all ! I'm here to ask for help because after trying several methods, my problem hasn't improved. I thought it came from the server, when many people were connected at the same time, but I can observe a variation of my pings, which range from 40 to 125 ... Connection is also a problem I think, but the most serious , these are my FPS .. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be great ... Especially since Enemy Territory is an old game, I don't understand why I hang around so much. I'm putting a little clip for you so you can see what I see at stake. Everything is jerky ... What is weird is that in the "Replay" mode, all these lags are no longer there. Do you think there is a solution? Or do I just have a crappy PC ..? ^^ Thank you, Fox.
  4. Hey, the high ping cryer is back (me ofc ) , yea but this time it's something legit. As title says Insurgency servers, there are 3--> Coop, Hardcore, PVP Coop I get 201-210 ping, but at the same time i change my server go to pvp to camp and i have 300-340ping there. Now I'm sure that all 3 servers are on same machine (same location), but i have different pings, I'm a noob in networking side of things so help would be appreciated. Did ask some guys on steam never got an answer. Guess i can get it here. My location: South-West India Server loc: North-East US (if i'm not wrong) Speed( mine does matter coz its low): 1Mbitsps (not constant is like 910-960kbits per sec) PPPoE/DSL (not sure what do i call my type of internet it uses normal telephone wire which is old school in 2017 ikr) PC settings: none that can coz any type of problem. Note: My modem does kind of just stop (like freeze no internet traffic for a min) then by getting some load on to it brings it back most of the times, i guess this is modem side problem (it's a modem+ wireless router in one plastic box thingy).
  5. so i play on jay2 mostly . here in wonderful fa world. i notice this alot as a admin in et world for yrs now eeeeons.lol check ur rate ..alot of people come on with 4000 rate and 15 maxpackets.. dont know why in this day an age it even is set this way in a dl. to fix this laggy ping crap. check ur rate bye typing /rate in counsel .tilda key below esc on left side keyboard. correct rate is anything above 13000 but i recommend maxing it out if u have decent connection and would be either34000 or 45000 check ur maxpackets by typing /cl_an hit tabs.. .correct variables for packets .. is between 30 and 100. to change this type/cl_maxpackets 100 or 30 either or is better than 15. i just thought id put this out here becuz i myself and i noticed kelf .helping or trying to help others while gaming.

  11. Well, in addition to what was said in the announcement thread, i have made a demo containing sticky rockets. It includes how they look like, form, and what they do. Also some ping numbers... (I don't know how to get the lagg-o-meter via console...) rpglagg.zip I hope it helps!
