I couldn't find a topic where everyone can share their drawings. Feeling a bit unsure about making my own but here I go! I don't know if others here like this sort of stuff but I sometimes doodle it as a hobby. Also some mspaint doodles because why not. Plus a comic page I did for a discord server as a bonus.

ART / GFX Art Thread (For everybody/ anybody...?)

I'm an inspired artist but I'm not very practiced. I have been drawing with passion lately. I'm obsessed with getting better. I know that my style is evolving but there are things that I need to work on. I'm my own worst critic which is ok actually because it helps me improve or drive me to do better. I'm not really here for criticism or praise. I am trying to get better, I'm drawing just to draw honestly. It just feels right/ good right now. I'm inspired... This is my latest drawing so I'll start with this. I don't want to make a thread entirely for myself, so others are welcome to share. I don't understand why we have 10 different art threads honestly, why not just make one? 😄 I've been drawing every day for a few weeks now. I really want to get better. Support is welcomed but I'm truly drawing from my own heart and it's just something I want to do.

Hey all! Been into gfx for awhile now, but have been getting back into it slowly and thought I'd show some of my work. I got into the graphics scene back in 2010 or so, when I was heavily into Call of Duty and the eSports scene. I've played for numerous teams, and accomplished more than I have imagined in a gaming community. I have a portfolio which is a few years old and hasn't been updated in a few years, but I will add projects that have been completed to the thread. I've spent countless hours in the past teaching myself all I need to know about Photoshop and Cinema4d. I know lots of people have moved to illustrator as well, but I haven't taken the time to learn or download that yet, maybe in the future as animated work is becoming more popular now. bLade's portfolio Cheers bLade

ART / GFX Anybody using Affinity Photo?

Wondering if anybody is using Serif's Affinity Photo instead of Photoshop, and if so, what your opinions were/are. Currently on the 10 day trial, and liking it so far. My Adobe subscription is coming up for renewal, and trying to decide whether to keep or ditch it. Pros I've found so far: -The panorama stitch seems significantly better -3rd party plugin support seems pretty decent (less buggy than moving from PS 2015.5 to 2017) -Layout is pretty similar -Far less RAM and scratch disk intensive -Live Lighting is much more intuitive and seems more powerful -Price. One time payment of $50 compared to $120 yearly. Cons I've found so far: -Photo stacking is marginal. It passes, but ghost reduction and focus stacking are sub-par often leaving artifacts -Not impressed with chromatic aberration reduction in the Develop "Persona" (equivalent to Camera Raw)- there's no sliders to choose the aberration colors or the reduction amt. I'd have to use a third party plugin to replace that. -Settings in the Develop persona do not "stick" like they do in Camera Raw. If I go back to change exposure/white balance/etc, all of the sliders are back at 0 after I click "develop". -Limited presets for things like tonal range, curves, etc. I often used one of Photoshop's baked in presets and adjusted curves/levels from there, saving me time. I could make presets, but some should come "out of the box" -Lens distortion tools are finicky. I really liked Photoshop's smart "auto" correction features, which Affinity lacks. With all of the above said, I think it's definitely worth the $50 asking price, especially considering lifetime upgrades. Migrating my workflow has been a bit of a learning curve, but that's to be expected. It would be hard to justify using both Affinity and Photoshop though, so it'd probably boil down to one or the other. -
So I'm make a banner among other things for my COC clan website: http://menace-coc.weebly.com/ So first off, I'd like get peoples opinion on what font I should use on the logo below. Also, Do you thing I should fade it out more, or blur it so it doesnt distract from the actual website news etc?

So I do this in my spare time and I enjoy it - unfortunately I don't have many SFW pictures yet, (You work a lot with a nude model when working on the body etc.) But here's a SFW shot or two, might put more up if people want. Edit #1: Heres a lighting test I did. Yes, I know shes not looking at the camera.

I made these myself. They're all cut-and-crop from non-signature images (thus not ripped). I slightly adjusted the Sun signature for better alignment. Just so to be clear, none of these took more than 5 minutes haha. You'll have to name them yourself or have someone do it for you, I do not have proper software to do it in a fancy manner.

Wanted to share this for fun. ^.^ Maybe for other zelda fans. I had a mini geek out moment last night.. Sooooo new Zelda is coming... and in it Link has a piece of technology called a Shiekah Slate. It's a really cool concept and sort of bridges old loveable zelda with a more modern time. I am very excited for the game and recently got a new phone... so I did a little customizing in the theme of the Shiekah Slate. :3 Pics from the game... Aaaaand this is my phone! :3 (S7 Edge) Always on display... Lock screen... Home Screen Main Apps screen.... And finally the original wallpaper. :3 I made dis myself. I tried to make it look a little like the sheikah slate map screen a little.... The shiekah symbol was originally all white and I did the color and glow work myself. I also did the background grid stuff ^.^ The hylian text is 3 different versions from Skyward sword, Twilight princess and ocarina... and it says ... Top line: Wisdom, power, courage ... Second line... It's Dangerous to go alone... Third and fourth line... You've met a terrible fate, haven't you? and Last line... 'It's a secret to everybody' Nods to previous games of course! I only need one thing to complete this and it's a phone case that looks like the back side of the shiekah slate... >.< (Pic#2) I found a couple, but they weren't cheap. Might splurge Anyways just wanted to share! ^.^ -
