Baska pc is infected long long time http://fearless-assassins.com/forum/topic/7884-pb-update-trojan-in-ur-pc/

if she really wanna clean up the pc, she better start by backup files to external hard disc then do this

1 formate PC (never put those backup files to her pc before do all next steps)

2 reinstall windows

3 install updates and drivers

4 install antivirus (but real one)

5 then scan backup files on that external HD before put them back

without those steps Baska's pc will never see the light

Sorry Baska but truth always piss off people :(

Stinger, lol Baska told me to get that, I told her I won't have any trojans xD but I did! haha =P

LONG POST INCOMMING!! For Baska's benefit!!

Okay.. Wow.. First off.. yer NOT going to like the solution..

Reformat the PC.. IF you actually have trojans.. There IS no easy cleanup.

Backup and save all your data such as favorites, Web links, Program files and info and My documents files and info.

If it was just ET.. we could maybe isolate it.. but if its in Cod4 as well, that means its rooted in your actual operating system and it has already been too late.

And as far as anti-viral software/web links go.. Stinger is a Macafee product and right there.. yer screwed.. ALl forms of attacks target the dominant enforcement programs.. MacAffe and Norton being among the biggest.. they will suffer the worst damage first.

Ill post a few web links here i suggest you investigate if you seriously wish to get that machine fixed.

http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA/security/tools/online-scanner/ F-Secure online Scanner.

http://www.trend-micro.com Get HouseCall.

Both these links are to scanners which cannot be comprimised by a viral/trojan attack because it doesntr use any drivers or files that cannot be scanned.

Long story short.. Installed virus scanners REQUIRE operating system files to function and once accessed., those files become ACTIVE , meaning unscannablke. So guess where infections like to hide most? In Active Unscannable files.

Those 2 links use your web browser.. a program that ALLOWS active file scanning!

As far as the Free stuff goes.. These are both 100% cost free..

and I suggest getting AVAST as your online scanner. AVG is extremely intrusive to the point it simply shuts down ALL other programs that scan for files so that IT alone will do it.. Thats actually a crime you know.. Thats called Monopolizing. and its illegal. Bill Gates ALMOST went to jail for the same thing because he tried to monopolize PC's by making Windows components necessary for many programs to work.

Dont get AVG unless you want to NEVER have a working scanner again ( except AVG).

http://www.avast.com/pl-pl/index

This is the Polish link to get Avast for your computer.. registration is free and mandatory for all accesses. BUT costs nothing and doesnt ask for specific information.. heck u can LIE if u wish and it will still work.. but i DO suggest a legit e-mail address ONLY.

IF you're just gonna reformat.. then disregard all the scanning procedures and just reformat.

Hey I wonder, I'm such a computer noob

if a scanner finds trojan just from ET, doesn't like everyone have it then that plays ET? lol

And btw, that was the first scan I did in 2 years lol, I used AVG for just 1 day then deleted after cus it found none, but the other one finds hidden ones or something lol

5 trojans for me from ET lol, mayb they just fake or something?idno

what does it like do though? xD cus, I haven't had any problem with my laptop in those 2 years... lmao , so o.O idno!!!!!

:D It depends on the virus scanner. Those could be false positives as well. From my understanding, the way PB works by scanning your hardware, software etc for hacks. It basically is a trojan since it is reporting back to EB whatever information it collects.

Then again, I've noticed quite a few people seem to be getting a hold of copies of ET that have some type of malware (trojan, virus, worm, etc) embedded in the .exe. It's making it harder to find a clean download anymore. It's one reason why I keep a copy of the et.exe and the patch on a seperate drive in case I need to reinstall. That and I'm to impatient to sit through another download.

IMO, if you've been infected with a trojan and can prove it's legitimate then as has been stated on here already, you need to reformat your computer. I don't care what kind of program you use, you can't be guaranteed virus free until you've reformatted and updated from behind a firewall.

If you have a file that you aren't sure is a virus, someone on another thread around here posted a link to this website that scans a specific file with a bunch of different scanners and gives you the result. It's pretty awesome. http://www.virustotal.com/
